Week 12 in the NFL brings with it plenty of intrigue, both in terms of on the field action and when it comes to prop and futures bets to consider. Each week, our NFL betting team will be providing you with our favorite prop bets to help win you some cash. This article will break down various angles through all of Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday’s games, as we continuously update our selections as more US bookmakers lines become available. We will also kick off the article with some potential NFL futures bets that may offer value right now.
After we kicked off Week 12 with a Thanksgiving double-header, we still have 14 games remaining in Week 12. The action gets underway at 1 PM ET with an eight-game slate, including a blockbuster between the Indianapolis Colts and Tennessee Titans, followed by an afternoon slate that includes a headline matchup between the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the Kansas City Chiefs. Week 12 also brings with it three straight days of prime time games. Sunday Night Football sees the Green Bay Packers host the Chicago Bears before the Philadelphia Eagles host the Seattle Seahawks on Monday Night Football.
The week ends with a bonus Tuesday Night Football matchup between the Baltimore Ravens and Pittsburgh Steelers, as the Steelers look to try and extend their unbeaten season. Let’s dive into some of our favorite NFL prop bets for Week 12 of the season, but first, let’s look at the futures bets which stand out as we enter the final stretch of the regular season.
NFL Futures Bets
There aren’t many lucrative futures left as the season draws closer and closer to an end, but there are still moneymaking angles to pursue.
Can the New Orleans Saints keep rolling towards the Super Bowl?
Even with the absence of Drew Brees, the New Orleans Saints sit as the favorites to win the NFC when it comes to 2020 NFL futures. The Saints have appealing odds of around +600 to win the Super Bowl. The Chiefs and Steelers are rightly still pacing the field in terms of Super Bowl odds, but the Saints are stepping up in a big way.
Their defense appears much improved, sacking Matt Ryan eight times and shutting down the Buccaneers in the past few weeks. They also demonstrated they can beat teams in multiple ways offensively, whether Drew Brees is in the lineup or not. They really need to get Brees back to have a chance to beat the Chiefs or Steelers, but if they can avoid their typical flat playoff performance in 2020, they are in a prime position to have home-field advantage through the NFC playoffs.
Week 12 RedZone prop bet specials
Many sportsbooks offer the opportunity to identify which player will lead the league in various categories in a specific slate of games. In Week 12, Derek Carr is a juicy +900 to lead the early slate in passing yards. In Week 12, he faces a Falcons pass defense that allows the most yards to QBs on the slate (313.6 per game).
In terms of the receiving yards leaders, Calvin Ridley and Justin Jefferson can both be found at +1000. Both offer value with their senior partners either ruled out or struggling to be 100% for Week 12.
NFL Week 12 prop bet selections
Las Vegas Raiders @ Atlanta Falcons | Sunday, November 29th, 1:00 PM
This matchup between the Falcons and Raiders should be mighty entertaining. Both teams are susceptible to the run game, but they have also given up plenty of opportunities to opposing receivers. However, this game has the joint-highest projected total of the early slate, so there should also be plenty of passing opportunities.
Those opportunities present intriguing prop bet opportunities in the receiving game of this Week 12 NFL matchup. For the Raiders, Nelson Agholor over 46.5 receiving yards is a number he has topped four times in the last six with a favorable Week 12 matchup. Also, Darren Waller over 57.5 receiving yards is a number that should be achievable against a defense that is allowing 62.2 receiving yards to the position this season.
New York Giants @ Cincinnati Bengals | Sunday, November 29th, 1:00 PM
The Cincinnati Bengals have allowed an average of 58.9 yards per game to the tight end position this season. Therefore, Evan Engram, who has seen 10 targets in two of his last three games, to go over 35.5 receiving yards is a potential prop bet to add to your NFL Week 12 card.
New Orleans Saints @ Denver Broncos | Sunday, November 29th, 9:05 PM
Taysom Hill made a concerted effort to target Michael Thomas in Week 11. The Broncos have a solid defensive unit, but Thomas is an incredible receiver when it comes to creating space. His prop bet lines of over 5.5 receptions or over 68.5 receiving yards are both potential plays to add to your NFL Week 12 selection.
If there are no prop bets or futures that catch your eye this week, then perhaps an NFL teaser or parlay is more in your wheelhouse.
If you are looking for a moneyline parlay this week, then a handful of teams catch my eye. The Tennessee Titans have the talent to topple the Colts in Indianapolis this week if they can get Derrick Henry and AJ Brown rolling. Anytime the New England Patriots are a home underdog is worth consideration. Kyler Murray and the Arizona Cardinals go into New England as somewhat surprising favorites. However, I expect Murray and his offense to have their way with a Patriots defense lacking plenty of pieces in 2020. The final early slate game that is intriguing is the matchup between the Los Angeles Chargers and Buffalo Bills, where Justin Herbert will likely keep the Chargers in this contest and could upset the Bills.
On the late slate, the San Francisco 49ers are getting critical pieces of their run game back, which is the method they used to beat the Rams earlier in the season. At odds of over +200, the 49ers present a fascinating boost to any parlay. In terms of a favorite on the late slate, the Chiefs at around -175 provide a too good of an opportunity to pass up this week.
In terms of potential teasers, look to take the Chargers point spread up to 10.5, taking the number through the key numbers of seven and 10. You can pair that with the 49ers getting 12 or 12.5 against a Rams team that has one by double-digits just once in the last five weeks.
