Is your NFL team getting complacent? Louis Reddick thinks injecting some Coach Prime into your culture would solve problems.

Deion Sanders has been creating buzz in NFL circles recently after rumors sparked around his potential transition to the pros.

The former Cowboys legend has done a fine job changing the landscape of college programs like Colorado in just two years. Fans and analysts now want him to reciprocate the same tradition at the NFL and elevate its standards to the good old days.

Deion Sanders to NFL Needs To Be Imminent, Suggest Top Analysts

On Tuesday’s episode of Get Up, former NFL star and now analyst Louis Reddick shared his perspective on what Sanders could bring to the table if he gets hired. He believes players at the top league are complacent and need somebody like Coach Prime to turn things around.

“The NFL needs someone like Deion Sanders. Man, honestly, he fits the NFL,” Reddick said.

“It’s another matter of whether or not the NFL fits him. That’s the issue. Whether it’s Dallas or anywhere else. Because let me just tell you this. Anybody who knows that man, he takes a back seat to nobody, nobody, not an owner, not players, not other coaches, nobody.

“And for him to come to the NFL right now and have to deal with mega-millionaires who don’t want to practice, who don’t want to play hard, who don’t want to sacrifice, who don’t want to miss it, that would send him through the roof.

“See, he can control that to a large degree at Colorado, and in the college game, I don’t know if the pro game, necessarily, is what he wants. And I can tell you this if I was an owner and I spent some time talking to him like, I’ve talked to him and understood what he would make in tick; I would be trying desperately to get him into my building,” he added.

Certainly, Sanders’ impact in Colorado has been massive. The team that was 1-11 in 2022 is now 8-2 with bowl eligibility in hand and a top contender for a Big 12 automatic bid in the College Football Playoff.

A program that was never in the big picture has now gained unprecedented relevance. Thanks to his sons Shedeur and Shilo and Travis Hunter, making the team a formidable unit. Next year, insiders link Sanders to the Cowboys, as Mike McCarthy and his team have been looking pretty weary.

Mike McCarthy Shares Disappointment After Fifth Loss

It was a huge setback for the Cowboys after they lost to the Houston Texans at home. A fifth consecutive loss of the season has now pushed their record to 3-7.

It was an array of defeats that brought Jerry Jones and his team under fire, especially after creating a lot of hype in the preseason. Addressing these issues, McCarthy took the responsibility and confessed the team’s inability to pounce on the opportunity.

“It’s very frustrating. It’s frustrating for everybody, frustrating for players, frustrating for coaches,” coach Mike McCarthy said in the press conference.

“I know it’s disappointing for the fans. We have a lot of moving parts going on, and we just have to be cleaner and more detailed in certain spots,” he added.

The Cowboys next face the Washington Commanders on Sunday (Week 12). No doubt, McCarthy will be on the hot seat, and the Cowboys need a big victory to break the losing streak.
