Ever since the couple made their relationship public in 2023, Taylor Swift and Kansas City Chiefs TE Travis Kelce have been making the headlines for setting hardcore couple goals for the fans.
They regularly showed up to cheer on each other or exchanged thoughtful and exquisite gifts, like Kelce’s grand welcome for the global popstar following the completion of the European leg of her “Eras Tour,” which included 51 boxes of roses costing the Chiefs’ star a total of $31,000.
Speculation about their engagement has been rife ever since they joined forces. However, an insider told “Us Weekly” that proposing is not even on Kelce’s radar, and even though he cares about her, he’s not there yet.
Did Adam Schefter Reveal a Clue About Traylor’s Potential Engagement?
This left fans completely disheartened as they were hoping for the day soon. However, they have reasons to reignite hopes of what could be the wedding of a century because of ESPN’s Adam Schefter.
The host recapped this week’s headline-grabbing news, including Kelce’s new horse, Swift Delivery. His co-host Laura Rutledge teased the idea of the couple tying the knot and said Kelce did not buy “an engagement ring,” which was followed by a cryptic statement by Schefter.
Schefter went on to say, “How do you know that Travis Kelce didn’t buy an engagement ring?” to which Rutledge said, “I don’t know, do you know? Are you gonna break some big news here?”
The ESPN host took a second’s pause before clearing up what he said, “I’m just saying you said that he didn’t buy an engagement ring, and I’m just wondering how you have that information?”
There was no way Schefter was going to be left easily after these statements, and he was later intervened by Booger McFarland, who said the silence spoke volumes and asked “Schefty” if he actually knew something.
Schefter later confessed that all he did was ask how Rutledge knew Kelce didn’t buy a ring, which wasn’t a convincing answer for her as she said she was later going to analyze every microexpression of his after the segment.
