Kyle Pitts arguably might be one of the most well-known names playing for the Atlanta Falcons. The tight end turned heads in his rookie season, but has been stuck in second gear since.
Hope for the tight end with the Falcons appears to be in short supply, as the franchise reportedly has entertained the notion of moving on. One NFL insider claims to know the team’s asking price.
Falcons Ask for Significant Trade Capital for Kyle Pitts
Taking to X on May 30, NFL insider Jordan Schultz has claimed that while the Falcons would “prefer to keep him,” they also have a price that they apparently would not decline.
Sources: Multiple teams have reached out to the #Falcons about the availability of TE Kyle Pitts.
Nothing is imminent, and Atlanta would prefer to keep him — but I’m told it would take at least a Day 2 pick to even spark serious talks. pic.twitter.com/smNLgOcBow

So, it would not be a blockbuster deal by any means, but it would be a starter-level piece of draft capital. They would presumably need it to help replace the tight end, as the starting role could turn to Charlie Woerner, who is still looking for his first 60-yard season.
Three Potential Fits for Pitts, Including Two in the AFC South
The New York Jets are in the process of overhauling everything, so adding a new tight end to help the offense makes plenty of sense. The current front-runner to start is likely Mason Taylor, so adding some potential veteran star power could upgrade the overall room. The Jets had the 15th-best Offense+ rating by PFSN in 2024, so any boost would seemingly be welcome.
The Tennessee Titans also make sense in terms of beefing up their tight end room. Chigoziem Okonkwo is coming off another year with less than 500 yards, so adding Pitts could be an upgrade. It would also give Cam Ward another target, which is always welcome for a rookie quarterback.
The Jacksonville Jaguars are coming off a 4-13 season. They’ve already changed head coaches, so changing at tight end would be child’s play. Brenton Strange is potentially the in-line starter coming off a 411-yard season, so Pitts, who earned 602 yards in a down year in 2024, would be a logical upgrade.
Of course, the question is whether any of these teams are desperate enough to part with a Day 2 pick. That is something general managers will have to ask themselves across the league.
Will Pitts remain with the Falcons much longer?
