Latest Chargers and Chiefs injury report

After a short week with both these teams having played Sunday afternoon, what do the injury reports look like heading into Thursday Night Football? As the final injury reports have been submitted, here are the players to keep an eye on for Thursday Night Football’s inactives.

Chargers Week 2 injury report

CB J.C. Jackson (questionable)

The Chargers have listed CB J.C. Jackson as questionable for Thursday Night Football. He will reportedly be a game-time decision, but expectations are that he will play. This is huge for the Chargers as they will need all the help they can get when going up against the Chiefs and this explosive aerial attack.

LT Rashawn Slater and LB Drue Tranquil were also listed on the injury report earlier this week but were full participants later in the week. Both will play against the Chiefs.

Besides that, the Chargers have already ruled out two of their offensive weapons in Keenan Allen and Donald Parham. Allen specifically is a major blow to the Chargers. Now, the Chiefs will need to focus their attention on Mike Williams, who because the WR1 without Allen. Parham was also a significant red zone threat for Herbert.

Chiefs Week 2 injury report

RG Trey Smith (questionable)

The only name left on the Chiefs’ final injury report who was not a full participant in practice is Trey Smith. The team has already ruled out their kicker Harrison Butker, but other than that, they are coming into this game quite healthy.

One interesting point to mention is that QB Patrick Mahomes did spend some time on the injury report this week with a sore left wrist. However, he was a full participant and said that the discomfort was nothing to be worried about.
