NFL Games Today: League takes weekend off, NFL opening night this Thursday

If you're looking for NFL games today, you're going to be disappointed. The NFL took the weekend off but opening night is September 9.

If you’re looking for NFL games today, you’re going to be disappointed. The NFL took the weekend off, shortening the preseason schedule from four to three weeks. Don’t fret, though, NFL football’s opening night is almost here.

Are there any NFL games today?

There are no NFL games today on TV. However, if you’re just looking for a football fix, the No. 9-ranked Notre Dame Fighting Irish take on the Florida State Seminoles tonight on NBC. After an exciting last few days of college football, tonight’s matchup of two historic college football teams shouldn’t disappoint.

NFL opening night is this Thursday

The next NFL game comes this Thursday, September 9. It’s the NFL’s opening night with the defending Super Bowl champion Tampa Bay Buccaneers hosting the Dallas Cowboys. Kickoff is currently set for 8:20 PM ET on NBC in a game for early-season NFC supremacy.

We’re just as excited to kick off the 2021 NFL season as you are. Now might be a good time to start looking at the latest NFL odds for Week 1 and see if there are any DraftKings or Fanduel promos you can bet on. For example, DraftKings currently has a no-brainer bonus out where you can take the Buccaneers +73 vs. the Cowboys on Thursday night.
