‘Y’all Are 3–9’ – NFL Fans Troll D.J. Reed After Jets CB Calls Out Referees for Poor Officiating vs. Seahawks

New York Jets cornerback D.J. Reed faced criticism from fans after his comments on refs’ officiating during the Week 13 loss to the Seahawks.

D.J. Reed and the New York Jets lost 26-21 to the Seattle Seahawks in Week 13. This was the Jets’ eighth loss in the last nine games, and they are now 3-9 on the season.

The Jets gave up 10 unanswered points in the fourth quarter against the Seahawks, as Aaron Rodgers and the rest of the offense were shut down in the second half. Reed, who was visibly upset with another loss, blamed the game officials for the result.

Fans React to D.J. Reed’s Comments on Refs

The Jets cornerback called out the referees on social media and received a lot of backlash from the fans. “You F***ING s**k, yall should be ashamed of yall selves!” wrote Reed via his X account.

    Here’s how the fans reacted:

“Y’all are 3-9,” said one fan.

“We really running this excuse? That was easily the worst game of football I’ve seen from the Seahawks in the past 10 years. The fact you guys couldn’t win that is beyond pathetic,” said a Seahawks fan.

“Spoon owns you,” added a fan in reference to Seahawks CB Devon Witherspoon.

Another fan said, “You guys aren’t good, bro. Stop crying for the refs.”

“Why are you guys horrible? Embarrassing to root for this group,” wrote one fan.

“This is embarrassing,” wrote another fan.

“You are 3-9. Would’ve thought you’ve learned how to take a loss, but I guess not. Should’ve never left the Hawks,” said another Seahawks fan.

The Jets’ defense has been disappointing since Robert Saleh was fired. They have given up an average of 26.1 points in the last seven games. Reed hasn’t played badly, but his frustration ultimately boiled up, and he went on social media to call out the refs.

The league is expected to fine him, but the way this season has gone for New York, the frustration has more than boiled over. In 10 games this season, Reed has recorded 35 solo tackles, nine assists, eight pass deflections, and one sack.

Quarterbacks are completing just 48.7% of their throws while targeting a player guarded by Reed, and the cornerback has allowed just one touchdown in coverage this year.

The Jets Are 1–6 Since Firing Robert Saleh

The Jets fired Saleh after the 23-17 loss to the Minnesota Vikings in Week 5. Since then, Jeff Ulbrich has served as the team’s interim head coach, but instead of improving, the team has played significantly worse.

New York is 1-6 since parting ways with its former head coach and has struggled on both sides of the ball. Woody Johnson, the owner of the Jets franchise, also fired Joe Douglas during the team’s bye week.

The Jets’ ownership group is expected to make significant changes around the team, which has raised various speculations about Rodgers’ future. The team may undergo a complete rebuild after this year, which includes drafting a new quarterback.

Rodgers is not expected to retire after this season, but he might have to find himself a new home to play for should he suit up for his 21st season in the league.
