Dennis Allen and the New Orleans Saints started the season 2-0 and looked like one of the best teams in the NFL. However, since then, they have lost five straight games, including a 33-10 loss to the Denver Broncos on “Thursday Night Football.”

Allen is under pressure, and the fans have had enough of him. Following the blowout loss to the Broncos, the Saints fans came on social media and demanded the franchise to fire the head coach.

Fans Sound Off on Dennis Allen’s Future With Saints

Saints fans have no belief left in the team, and they think firing Allen is the first step to getting the team back on track. Here’s how they reacted:

“There’s no coming back from this. Dennis Allen must be fired tomorrow. Blow it up. It’s time for a new era in New Orleans,” said one fan.

“There’s no way Dennis Allen survives getting fired by Monday,” added another fan.

“Dennis Allen is going to hell for what he has done!” said a Saints fan.

“I swear to god, if Dennis Allen isn’t fired after the press conference, I’m turning in my fan card,” said another.

The Saints were without Chris Olave, Derek Carr, and Rashid Shaheed against the Broncos. Their offense struggled massively, and although Spencer Rattler did show flashes of brilliance, the team needs to improve on both offense and defense.

They are now 2-5 on the season and are quite likely to miss the playoffs. The Saints could trade some of their star players to contending teams and get back some draft capital which would help if they go on a complete rebuild.

What Is Allen’s Record as Saints HC?

Allen became the Saints’ head coach in 2022. The Saints have missed the playoffs in every season during his tenure, and after losing to the Broncos, he has a record of 18-23.

Allen still has one year left on his deal, but based on how the team has played this year, he is quite likely to get fired. Per Spotrac, the Saints are projected to be $97.6 million over the cap after this season, and we could see many changes from the front office.

Carr signed a four-year $150 million contract with the Saints in 2023, but given the team’s situation, he may not be on the roster after this season. Whether Rattler is the long-term solution remains to be seen, but it would be better for the franchise to rebuild instead of jeopardizing its long-term future.

The Saints’ next three games are against:

Even if Allen does not get fired after the loss to the Broncos, there is a strong possibility that he could get the axe if the team loses to the Chargers in Week 8.
