The Seattle Seahawks traded 2026 fourth and fifth-round picks to the New Orleans Saints in exchange for wide receiver Rashid Shaheed on Tuesday. Shaheed, one of the NFL’s fastest receivers, reunites with offensive coordinator Klint Kubiak, who coached him in New Orleans last season.
How Did Fans React to Rashid Shaheed Joining the Seahawks’ WR Corps?
The Seattle Seahawks are sitting at 6-2 and tied for first in the NFC West, and with Rashid Shaheed’s acquisition, he strengthens an already dangerous passing attack led by Sam Darnold, Jaxon Smith-Njigba, and Cooper Kupp.

“Rashid Shaheed is legit one of the best deep threats in the NFL, pairing him with JSN, Cooper Kupp, and Tory Horton is just unfair for the rest of the league lmao, #Seahawks are winning the Super Bowl this year, bet on it,” a fan wrote.
“Acquiring WR Rashid Shaheed makes the chances of JSN hitting 2000 rec yards very doable,” one fan said.
“Oi JSN and Rashid Shaheed will be tough,” another fan commented.

“JSN, Rashid Shaheed, and Cooper Kupp are going to go CRAZY!! The Seahawks offense will be so hard to defend. Sheesh!!” one fan said.
“Not incredibly cheap (at all) but I love Rashid Shaheed to Seahawks. Seattle had been very JSN dependent (beyond some Horton contributions) and Kubiak has shown he can scheme up vertical elements + Darnold has been accurate downfield. Shaheed can fly,” a fan wrote.
“JSN and Rashid Shaheed is nasty work,” a fan commented.
“Rashid Shaheed is going to be an absolute animal in Seattle,” one fan said.
Shaheed’s addition gives the Seahawks one of the most complete wide receiver groups in the NFL. Smith-Njigba leads the NFL with 948 receiving yards through eight games, while Kupp has had a hard time staying healthy, averaging around 42 yards per contest. Shaheed will bring insurance to the group as he is one of the league’s fastest players, even recording the eighth-fastest 40-yard dash speed this season during an 87-yard touchdown in Week 5.
Kubiak’s familiarity with Shaheed should help him integrate quickly, and with Darnold playing incredibly, the timing couldn’t be better. His PFSN WR Impact Score is 76.7 with a C grade. He ranks 32 among all wide receivers this season, having totaled 499 yards on 44 receptions and two touchdowns through nine games.
