NFL fans raise doubts and confusion as Daniel Jones is set to join the Minnesota Vikings after his six-year stint with the New York Giants.

With Daniel Jones’ time coming to an end with the New York Giants earlier this week, the NFL world wanted to know about his next move.

There were reports that several teams were looking to sign the veteran quarterback, but Jones has made his choice. Per new reports, he will be joining the Minnesota Vikings — but fans are bewildered by this decision.

Fans Question Daniel Jones’ Move to the Vikings

The Vikings were previously reported to be one of the favored spots for the 27-year-old. Fox Sports NFL insider Jordan Schultz was the first on X (previously Twitter) to state that Jones had signed with the NFC North team.

“BREAKING: Former Giants QB Daniel Jones is signing with the Vikings, sources tell NFL on FOX. Jones had several options, but prioritized a team in contention with a QB-friendly offensive system and a coaching staff known for maximizing player potential,” he tweeted.

As soon as fans learned about this, they raised their doubts and questions regarding the entire affair.

“Must be a money thing. Doesn’t seem to make sense from a chance to play for Jones,” responded one fan.

“Why not niners,” added another fan.

“Now why would they do that,” another fan replied.

    “Why????” tweeted one fan.

“I would have gone to the Ram. He’s done a great job of revitalizing QBs with also great coaching,” one fan added.

“Should’ve joined Baltimore and got a ring,” one person added.

Jones Expressed Regrets During His Time With Giants

Jones was drafted by the Giants out of Duke during Round 1 of the 2019 NFL Draft. Six years later, he leaves with a record of 24-44-1. The QB, in a statement, highlighted his thankfulness to the Mara and Tisch families. However, he also expressed not being able to do enough with his time.

“There have been some great times, but of course, we all wish there had been more of those,” Jones said. “The reality of the NFL is it’s hard to win games. It requires consistent performance for everyone involved. We didn’t do that well enough, so the idea to change something happens and I understand.”
