The Cleveland Browns could end up deciding the entire trajectory of the 2025 NFL Draft. While Cam Ward to the Tennessee Titans feels like a near guarantee, Cleveland has a plethora of options to choose from.
They could either address their need at the most important position in the sport by adding a quarterback, or they could go with the best players in the draft with either Abdul Carter or the reigning Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter. One analyst, however, believes there is a scenario where the Browns can have their cake and eat it too.

Cleveland Browns Could Draft Familiar Dynamic Duo
Last season, the offense was the biggest question mark for the Browns. Not only did Deshaun Watson rank as the worst quarterback on PFSN’s QB+ metric, but the offense as a whole was also last in the corresponding Offense+ metric.
This year, they have a choice to stabilize the QB position with the second pick at their disposal and Watson sidelined with an injury. However, legendary draft expert and analyst Todd McShay believes a better idea for Cleveland is to go after Hunter with that pick.
But, with quarterback a necessity, especially in today’s game, he also has them trading up from the second round with the Atlanta Falcons at No. 15 to bring in Hunter’s Colorado Buffaloes running mate, Shedeur Sanders.

It might not be completely out of the realm of possibility after Browns general manager Andrew Berry confirmed his fascination with bringing both on board. Still, it would still be an unlikely possibility on the whole spectrum of outcomes.
Instead, the latest mock draft from PFSN is a little more reasonable. While it is also bringing a quarterback at a later point in the draft, Jacob Infante believes Cleveland will choose Carter at No. 2 to pair with Myles Garrett and elevate a defense that finished ninth on PFSN’s Defense+ metric last season.
Not even the second round, where they add more weapons to the defense with cornerback Maxwell Hairston, brings Berry a quarterback. Instead, with the 67th pick in the third round, the Browns finally bring in a passer in the form of Alabama’s Jalen Milroe.
“Jalen Milroe may go much higher than this because of his immense upside stemming from his strong arm and elite athleticism,” Infante began. “That said, Cleveland would be a great landing spot for him to sit for a year or two, then inevitably push for a starting role.”
