Cleveland Browns defensive end Myles Garrett again etched his name into NFL history by becoming the league’s all-time sack leader among players under 30 years old. Early in the first quarter against the New England Patriots, Garrett delivered a signature edge rush, bringing down QB Drake Maye for his 108.5th career sack and surpassing Hall of Famer Reggie White’s previous record of 108 sacks before turning 30.

Myles Garrett’s Milestones and Dominance
Browns head coach Kevin Stefanski praised Garrett’s rare consistency and resilience ahead of the team’s game this week: “Myles is a future Hall of Famer. The praise he gets struggles to match the impact he makes on a game-by-game basis, especially with the constant double and triple teams he faces every week.”
Garrett’s resume includes setting multiple NFL and franchise records. In 2024, he became the first player in league history to log 14+ sacks in four consecutive seasons (2021–24). He’s also the only NFL player to record at least 10 sacks for seven straight seasons (2018–24), and the first since sacks became an official stat in 1982 to reach 100 sacks before his 29th birthday.

Garrett’s 2025 season remains stellar. Heading into Week 8, he had already racked up five sacks, and with his latest takedown of Maye, he added his sixth for the season.
That milestone elevated him to fifth all-time for sacks recorded in the first nine seasons of an NFL career, moving past legendary pass rusher Derrick Thomas.
Garrett currently ranks 14th in PFSN’s EDGE Impact rankings with an impressive grade of 79.4. He is a massive reason that the Browns’ defense as a whole currently sits fifth in our overall Defense Impact metric.
