NFL Analyst Predicts Shedeur Sanders To Be ‘Much Better’ in the NFL Than He Was at Colorado

Deion Sanders’ son, Shedeur Sanders, is among the most talked about players heading into the 2025 NFL Draft. Some analysts predict that the Colorado Buffaloes star will be one of the top three picks, while some have gone as far as to say that he’s “undraftable” or at least undeserving of going in Round 1.

Meanwhile, during his latest analysis, Joel Klatt boldly argued that Sanders would be an even better player in the league than he was at Colorado.

Joel Klatt Makes Bold Case for Shedeur Sanders To Be Better in NFL Than College

ESPN’s Field Yates recently mocked Sanders to the Las Vegas Raiders at No. 6 overall, but Klatt went a step further.

During his latest analysis of the 2025 NFL Draft, Klatt shared that he thinks the Raiders will trade up to No. 1 overall to take Sanders as their quarterback, owing to the Colorado star’s healthy relationship with Tom Brady.

The college football and NFL analyst also highlighted Sanders’ strengths, including having an impressive combination of being a good passer from the pocket and even being a surgeon and an artist.

“His ability to create outside of the pocket extends the play, and he’s excellent in those situations. And if you give him some time in the pocket, which Colorado did not generally with their offensive line, but if he has time, and he can diagnose what’s going on, he is surgical from the pocket.

“I believe that he has a chance to be much better in the National Football League than he was even at Colorado. Because let’s face it, as Deion was trying to build the roster from a roster that won one game and made them immediately competitive, they got the skill position players right away, including Shedeur, but what they didn’t have is a great offensive line.

“As the offensive line got better, Shedeur’s productivity went way up, obviously. They had a really great season this last year.”

Sanders’ first year with the Buffaloes wasn’t easy. Despite a strong start and back-to-back wins, the team ended the season with an overall record of 4-8.

The Colorado quarterback was sacked more than 50 times in 2023. However, Coach Prime was able to fix the offensive line issues that gave Sanders the opportunity to play according to his potential and ended the season with a 9-4 record.
