While it’s common for football fans to highlight and speculate about the future of talented college football stars, it’s somewhat rare when NFL executives discuss who they believe has the brightest future. However, an assistant general manager in the NFC has done just that regarding Colorado Buffaloes superstar quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
Though it’s unclear which team this individual represents, it does outline how noteworthy Sanders’ campaign has been to this point and how appreciated he is among those at the highest level of NFL front offices.
What Did the Unnamed Executive Say About Shedeur Sanders?
In a recent interview, the unnamed executive gave his opinion on Sanders’ current season at the University of Colorado Boulder and his potential future in the National Football League.
“He’s been the best of the bunch to me, and I’ve been impressed by his growth this year. The on-field demeanor has been contagious so far, and the results have shown on that team this year,” the assistant general manager stated.

How Has Sanders Performed This Season at Colorado?
The son of 2011 Pro Football Hall of Fame inductee Deion Sanders, Shedeur has enjoyed an extremely positive individual season, as well as being a major reason behind the Buffaloes’ improved team success.
On the season, Sanders has accumulated 3,488 passing yards and 30 touchdowns through the air while only throwing seven interceptions. In addition, he also has four rushing touchdowns to add to his impressive tallies.
Sanders has been a crucial piece for the Buffaloes, who currently hold an 8-3 record this year and sit in fourth place in the competitive and difficult Big 12 conference.
On Pro Football Network Dalton Miller’s Top 100 Big Board, Sanders is projected at No. 27 overall in the 2025 NFL Draft and the No. 1 quarterback. Miller details Sanders as “the evolution of the pocket passer. He’s athletic enough to get on the hoof and pick up first downs with his legs, but many might be surprised to hear he’s not close to the athlete his father was. Instead, he fits into the Geno Smith or C.J. Stroud-like mold.”
While it remains to be seen definitively where Shedeur Sanders will be taken in next year’s draft or which franchise will select him, it’s clear that he has the skills and ability to succeed at the professional level.
