The image quickly went viral, with fans questioning how one of the NBA’s loudest voices could be so disengaged during such a high-stakes matchup.
Smith has finally responded on X, claiming he was multitasking during a timeout. He wrote, “Yep! That’s me. Who would’ve thought….I can multi-task. Especially during TIMEOUTS! Hope y’all are enjoying the NBA Finals. This is going 7 games now, peeps!”
