Pistons Injury Report: Latest Updates on Cade Cunningham, Jalen Duren, Tobias Harris, Others

The Detroit Pistons have been on a roll this season. Detroit caught everyone by surprise as they have been the best team in the Eastern Conference this season. It was a situation that nobody saw coming, considering how the Pistons haven’t necessarily been an elite team in recent memory.

Given the team’s newfound success, they must maintain the presence of their core players in each game. Unfortunately for them, some of those players have recently been sidelined. Who exactly are these players?

Cade Cunningham and Pistons Core Players Are on the Injury List

Cade Cunningham and the Pistons have been on a scorching hot run this season. Ever since taking the top spot in the East, they never looked back. However, given the nature of the grueling 82-game season, these players can only do so much until health starts to get in the way.

True enough, three core players, including Cunningham, are on the Pistons’ injury list. Starting with Cunningham, the Pistons star has been listed as day-to-day. He suffered from a right wrist contusion on Monday after Detroit took on the New York Knicks. So far, Cunningham has missed only one game since getting injured.

The Pistons managed to beat the Chicago Bulls on Wednesday despite not having their star player by their side.

Reports suggest that he’s likely to return on Saturday against the Los Angeles Clippers.

Next on the list is Jalen Duren, who’s listed as out. Duren has been out since New Year’s Day. The Pistons’ big man suffered from a right ankle sprain when he rolled his ankle during the game against the Miami Heat.

According to several reports, Duren will be re-evaluated on Saturday. Only then will we find out when he could make his return to the hardwood. Tobias Harris has also been listed as out.

In Harris’ case, he suffered from a left hip sprain on Dec. 30 in their game against the Los Angeles Lakers. Reports revealed that his initial two-week re-evaluation is about to come to a close, and he will be re-evaluated again by next week.

Some sources suggest that Harris could make his return by Jan. 17 against the Indiana Pacers, assuming that all goes well.

Last on the list is Wendell Moore Jr., who has missed almost the entirety of the season. Moore has only played three games this season for the main roster. His absence is mostly due to his assignment to the G League.
