The end of 2025 is here, and the NBA has basketball fans sorted with nine of the most incredible games to get you excited for what’s to come in 2026. Here is the schedule for New Year’s Eve.

The New Year’s Eve NBA Schedule
Golden State Warriors (17-16) vs Charlotte Hornets (11-21) 1 p.m. ETÂ
The New Year’s Eve schedule starts in Charlotte, with Stephen Curry making his annual visit back home to North Carolina. The Hornets have struggled yet again this season to make any playoff challenge, but it could be a perfect time to play the Warriors, who can’t seem to play with any consistency or continuity.
Minnesota Timberwolves (21-12) vs Atlanta Hawks (15-19) 3 p.m. ETÂ
Anthony Edwards and the Minnesota Timberwolves head to Atlanta in the second NYE matchup of the day, hoping to inflict even more damage on the Hawks, who are suffering from a seven-game losing streak.
The Timberwolves are 9-6 on the road this season, while Atlanta is 5-11 in home games thus far. Trae Young, Jalen Johnson, and Kristaps Porzingis are all missing for the Hawks, giving them an even bigger test in the final game of 2025.
Orlando Magic (18-15) vs Indiana Pacers (6-27) 3 p.m. ETÂ
The Indiana Pacers look to close a torrid end to 2025 by snapping a nine-game losing streak against Paolo Banchero and the Orlando Magic.
The 2025 NBA Finalists have missed the creativity of their Starman, Tyrese Haliburton, and the team is currently 4-16 against Eastern Conference teams this season, being outscored by 9.3 points per game.
Phoenix Suns (19-13) vs Cleveland Cavaliers (18-16) 3:30 p.m. ET
The Devin Booker-backed Phoenix Suns are heading to Cleveland to close out the year, looking to win their fifth game in a row and their third straight game on the road. The Cavs have struggled to find consistent wins so far this season, with 11 home wins and eight losses. Donovan Mitchell is averaging 29.5 points in the last 10 games.
New Orleans Pelicans (8-26) vs Chicago Bulls (15-17) 7 p.m. ET
The New Orleans Pelicans are looking to regain some lost momentum after their five-game winning streak was snapped last week. Meanwhile, for the Chicago Bulls, they’re aiming to get back to .500 on the season.
The Bulls are without their orchestrator, Josh Giddey (hamstring), who has averaged 19.2 points and nine assists this season.
New York Knicks (23-9) vs San Antonio Spurs (23-9) 7 p.m. ETÂ
Just a couple of weeks after the New York Knicks toppled the San Antonio Spurs in the NBA Cup final, the team will meet again for a mouth-watering clash to see out the year. Since the loss, the Spurs have come back with vengeance, winning their next five games after Las Vegas and looking like the best team in the West.
Denver Nuggets (22-10) vs Toronto Raptors (20-14) 7:30 p.m. ET
The Denver Nuggets will begin at least one month without three-time MVP Nikola Jokić after he was sidelined with a hyperextended left knee when they face the Raptors. The Nuggets went 4-8 without Jokic last season, making the test against the Raptors, who have won their previous two, even more challenging.
Washington Wizards (7-24) vs Milwaukee Bucks (14-19) 8 p.m. ETÂ
The Washington Wizards face a desperate Milwaukee Bucks, with superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo on a rallying cry to improve the Bucks’ season. Milwaukee hasn’t been a nice place to visit for the Wizards, as they’ve lost their last five games there, with four of those being double-digit losses.
Portland Trail Blazers (14-19) vs Oklahoma City Thunder (28-5) 8 p.m. ET
The reigning champions close out the year against the Portland Trail Blazers, the only team to beat them in their first 25 games of the season.
Can MVP Shai Gilgeous Alexander close out the season with another incredible performance to cap off the year?
