    Los Angeles Lakers Make Luka Doncic Announcement

    Before Monday’s game, the Lakers announced the news that Luka Doncic will be out due to injury management.

    Via Trevor Lane of Lakers Nation: “Lakers announce both Austin Reaves and Luka Doncic are out tonight”

    Doncic is averaging 41.3 points, 11.5 rebounds, 8.3 assists and 1.2 steals per contest while shooting 54.5% from the field and 29.2% from three-point range in four games.

    Many fans reacted to the news of him being ruled out against the Trail Blazers.

    @scizzorz24:NBA gonna act like b2b’s doesn’t hurt the product… it’s a new NBA, league needs to adjust. Lakers just played a teams whose PACE would have been unheard of in previous eras, and expect players to be ready the next night…”

    @Patrick___29: “Okay I get it. 5-2. Taking a loss now, especially with a few days off after this game. I get it. No need to push these dudes so hard early. Stay fresh and let’s see what Dalton and Manon can show us. Jake 40 ball?”

     @Clipside1: “26 yrs old btw”

    @oogway9990: “Nice we missing back to backs in November as a 26 y/o in our prime.”

    @Xtoldmetotweet: “Back2back against Portland JJ said nahh”

    @RyloAries1: “No guards at all. Bronny PG1 😭”

    @FreedomLovesCo1: “Well Luka did play 2 games the last 3 weeks”

    @iiTREYY: “i don’t necessarily agree with punting games but i’m assuming they’re resting for the upcoming road trip..also they probably don’t think portland is a serious enough team to worry about series record come playoff standings”

    The Lakers come into play as the third seed in the Western Conference with a 5-2 record in their first seven games.

    They are in the middle of a three-game winning streak.

    Following the Trail Blazers, the Lakers will play their next game on Wednesday night when they host the San Antonio Spurs.
