LeBron James and Stephen A. Smith has the strangest feud happening in the world of basketball right now. These two men have been at each other’s necks for the last few weeks, and it makes little sense.
Stephen A. Smith took a small shot towards LeBron James and Bronny James on his ESPN First Take program and things ballooned from there. The feud made headlines when James confronted Smith at a Lakers game and seemingly told the ESPN analyst to leave his son out of his commentary.
While James and Smith both can be seen as wrong for different reasons, the pettiness of their feud continues. Hopefully, this feud subsides sooner than later, but in the meantime, the shots continue.
LeBron James Takes Another Jab At Stephen A. Smith
LeBron James would appear on the Pat McAfee Show where he mentioned Stephen A. Smith and addressed him. While James didn’t spend too much time on Smith, he didn’t seem too pleased with Smith’s comments following their confrontation at the Lakers game.
Smith would respond on his own podcast, noting that if James attempted to put his hands on him during their confrontation, he would have swung on James. James replied with an Instagram post where he utilized “whomp whomp whomp” as the caption alongside a video of Smith boxing. Or attempting to box at least.
LeBron just posted this on IG 😂😂😂😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/IJUwJFXVsg

While James and Smith both seem a bit stubborn in their feud against each other, these are both very wealthy men with large followings. This petty feud will only last for a while longer before fizzling out, which is the norm for any sports journalist and player spat.
James Wins The Game On Buzzer Beater Against Pacers
While Smith and James were trading barbs at each other, that took nothing away from James on the court. James and the Lakers would escape Indianapolis with a major victory over the Pacers due to a last second tip-in by James.
The Lakers celebrated their victory to put an exclamation point on a busy day for James. He started his day at the Pat McAfee show, making headlines, and ended the night with a game-winning buzzer beater, his 8th of his career. James, who has played 22 seasons, is one basket shy of tying Michael Jordan, who has 9 buzzer beaters.
Will this Lakers victory over the Pacers help get this team back on track? Will James continue to make history as the clock nears retirement time? That remains to be seen.
