Who Are Joe Ingles’ Wife and Kids? All You Need To Know About the Timberwolves Veteran’s Family

Minnesota Timberwolves wing Joe Ingles is quite the NBA success story. Ingles started from the ground up with the Utah Jazz in 2014, and from there, he became one of the NBA’s best role players.

Ingles is also known for being one of the better locker room presences in the NBA, which factors into why he’s still in the league even though his heyday is behind him. He has a pretty normal family life behind the scenes; Ingles is married to Renae Ingles and has three kids. Here’s what to know about Ingles’ family.

What To Know About Joe Ingles’ Wife, Renae

Though the Ingles family’s sports skills are known more on the basketball court, Joe’s wife Renae did the same for a different sport, one not too different from basketball. Renae was a professional netballer, which she played for 17 years before retiring.

Renae was quite an accomplished netballer, once crowned Australia’s best netballer, per The Sydney Morning Herald. She stuck by Joe’s side even before he came to the NBA despite having conflicting schedules when he started his professional basketball career while she was in the middle of her netball career.

She and Joe have been married since August 2015.

What To Know About Ingles’ Kids

Joe and Renae have three children. In 2016, they had twins, Jacob and Milla, and they later had a son named Jack.

In 2019, Joe spoke to The Athletic’s Tony Jones about Jacob’s autism and how he and Renae have approached raising him. Since discovering that his son is autistic, Joe has been an advocate for autism awareness.

On March 21, Joe got his first start for the Minnesota Timberwolves, and his family watched him play in what was a very special occasion for the Ingles family since Renae and their children live in Orlando, Fla., where Ingles played the season before.

It was confirmed that Jacob got through his first NBA game the week before, which is very impressive as being in large crowds can be a struggle for people with autism, as it can lead to overstimulation. However, Joe did not play in that game.

After the game, Joe delved into what it’s like to raise his son. Even though he can afford to pay for the help Jacob needs, Joe still deals with the same struggles that other parents of children with autism work through.

Joe and Renae very clearly take their roles as parents as seriously as any loving parents would.
