How To Watch Lakers vs Timberwolves: Time, Streaming Channel, Schedule, and More on NBA Playoffs Round 1 Clash

The first round of the NBA Playoffs is set to begin in a few days. Among the first round matchups is the No. 3 seed Los Angeles Lakers and the No. 6 seed Minnesota Timberwolves.

This should be an entertaining series, as the Lakers want to avenge their first-round sweep, and the Timberwolves want to avenge their embarrassing Western Conference Finals loss at the hands of Luka Dončić. Here’s all the information fans need to know to tune into this highly entertaining series.

How to Watch Lakers vs. Timberwolves

ESPN’s Dave McMenamin posted the schedule for the playoff series on his X account. The games will be played on the following dates, times, and channels. Note that some game times or channels are not set in stone because it is yet to be determined if they will be necessary.

Game 1: April 19 in Los Angeles at 8:30 pm ET on ABC
Game 2: April 22 in Los Angeles at 10:00 pm ET on TNT
Game 3: April 25 in Minnesota at 9:30 pm ET on ESPN
Game 4: April 27 in Minnesota at 3:30 pm ET on ABC
Game 5: April 30 in Los Angeles (if necessary)
Game 6: May 2 in Los Angeles (if necessary)
Game 7: May 4 in Los Angeles (if necessary)

What To Expect From The Series

This will be an interesting matchup between both sides. The Lakers were treading water before the Dončić trade changed quite literally everything. Title hopes that seemed to be all but dead were suddenly alive and well again pairing him with LeBron James.

With two of the NBA’s very best players playing side by side, the Lakers will be very hard to beat, no matter who they go up against.

However, the Timberwolves should not be underestimated, especially against the Lakers. The Timberwolves have struggled with inconsistency, as the Karl-Anthony Towns trade that went down just before the season started threw the team off.

However, as the season progressed, the Timberwolves found their footing. Sure, this season didn’t go as well as last season did, but Minnesota still has the talent to go further than last postseason.

When it all comes down to it, this could be the most entertaining series in the entire first round. The Timberwolves might be the underdog, but they are battle-tested, having beaten the reigning champions around this time last year. However, their opponent just happens to be the one player who beat them soundly in last year’s playoffs, and he’s accompanied by the one player who’s been through it all.

Buckle up, because this could be a real barn burner.
