Chicago Bulls Announce Roster Move Before Knicks Game

On Sunday night, the Chicago Bulls will play the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden in Manhattan.

The Bulls come into the night with a perfect 5-0 record, which has them as the first seed in the Eastern Conference.

Chicago Bulls Assign Player To G League Before Knicks Game

Before Sunday’s showdown, the Bulls announced that they had assigned Noa Essengue to the G League.

Via The Chicago Bulls: “Roster Update: We have assigned Noa Essengue to the @WindyCityBulls.”

Essengue was the 12th pick in the 2025 NBA Draft.

The 18-year-old has yet to make his NBA debut.

Via Elias Schuster of Bleacher Nation (in October): “Noa Essengue’s length and open floor speed is immediately a big advantage. He has the potential to be incredibly disruptive on D. You also have to respect his feel for drawing contact.”

The Bulls will more than likely be patient with Essengue, so being with Windy City could be huge for his growth as a player.

Via Kylen Mills (in October): “Of note for #Bullsnation – after tonight’s preseason loss, rookie Noa Essengue immediately grabbed some balls & started putting up free throws. He missed a big FT with 6mins to go. Essengue was still shooting when I left the gym. Says something about his mentality. #bulls”

Following the Knicks, the Bulls will play their next game on Monday night when they host the Philadelphia 76ers.

They are 4-0 at the United Center.

The Bulls are coming off a year where they missed the NBA playoffs for the third straight season.

As for the Knicks, they are the 10th seed in the Eastern Conference with a 2-3 record in their first five games.

Last season, they reached the Eastern Conference Finals for the first time in 25 years.
