Anthony Edwards Credits ‘Alpha Male’ Julius Randle for Blowout 117-93 Win vs. Warriors

Despite an injury concern for Anthony Edwards at the beginning of the game, he demonstrated his grit by returning to the high-intensity contest. He scored 20 points and had nine rebounds in Game 2 between the Golden State Warriors and the Minnesota Timberwolves as the T-Wolves tied the series 1-1.

However, the game belonged to Julius Randle, who displayed why he could be this series’s X-factor. Silently going about his business, Randle arrived at the Timberwolves, having pure intentions to win. If he showcases what he did in Game 2, then Randle and the Timberwolves spell danger for the Stephen Curry-less Warriors.

Consequently, Ant-Man praised Randle after his productive night for the T-Wolves.

Anthony Edwards Gives Flowers to Julius Randle for a Spectacular Performance

Randle scored 24 points for the night, draining 10-17 shots to get going. Since he started the first half strongly, he never looked back. He charged the paint and scored points in bunches with the Warriors’ defense struggling to keep him at bay.

Thus, the fanatics in the Target Center appreciated him and gave him a standing ovation as he left the game. He became the primary offensive threat throughout the match and caused the opposition defenders a hard time guarding him.

“It means a lot, man. He’s an Alpha male. He stands out. And when he plays like that, we’re hard to beat,” said an enthusiastic Edwards in the post-game interview.

After Edwards left the floor for some time to nurse his ankle, Randle stepped up, unlike some Warriors players in the absence of Curry. He drove to the basket, played the post-game perfectly, and bombarded the rim efficiently.

The forward also took advantage of the matchups, with Moses Moody and Buddy Hield becoming powerless to stop him inside. The former Knicks man played the post moves perfectly, creating space and scoring some step-back Js.

Moreover, his passing came to the limelight as Randle had 11 assists to finish the game. He played some quick dishes to his open teammates and then lobbed a perfect alley-oop to Edwards in the third quarter for a highlight play.

Overall, Randle had a dazzling night to finish the game in style with 24 points, seven rebounds, and 11 assists.

Before the game against the Warriors, Randle had weaved his magic against the Lakers, averaging 22.6 points and 5.2 rebounds in that playoff series.

With Curry out for the Warriors’ next two games, the Timberwolves can take advantage and go 3-1 up. The contest heads to the Chase Center next, and Edwards and Co. look to reclaim home advantage and finish off the Warriors.
