Texas Motor Speedway produced one of the most spectacular NASCAR Cup Series races of 2025, with Joey Logano taking full advantage of the full-blown antics across the field to win his first paycheck of the season at the Würth 400.
The Team Penske driver had a rather disappointing qualifying outing on Saturday, May 3, only managing 27th. However, thanks to the timely cautions and powerful restarts, Logano managed to sneak his way up the order and claim what seemed like an unlikely race victory.
Behind Logano, Ross Chastain made an impressive charge from 31st to a hard-earned second-place finish. The raining cautions also assured a rare top-10 finish to the likes of Ricky Stenhouse Jr., Austin Dillon, and John Hunter Nemechek.
2025 Würth 400: Final Results of the Texas NASCAR Cup Race
There is absolutely no denying it was Team Penske’s day at Texas, with Austin Cindric setting the tone early. Fresh off his NASCAR Cup win at Talladega, Cindric carried that momentum into Texas by securing a Stage 1 victory over Tyler Reddick. However, Kyle Larson entered the spotlight in Stage 2 and went on to secure his sixth stage win of the season, again over Reddick.
However, things quickly went haywire, starting with Josh Berry crashing out while leading. That was followed by a multi-car collision involving Brad Keselowski and several others.
To cap off the chaos, Michael McDowell gave up the lead late in the race after a hard wreck. The Spire Motorsports driver managed to limp back to pit road, but the impact was severe enough to end his race.
Amid an extremely chaotic NASCAR race, Larson kept his cool for most of the race, holding the lead for nearly 90 laps before McDowell completely disrupted his rhythm during the 11th restart of the evening.
Soon after, Larson quickly lost positions to both Ryan Blaney and Ross Chastain and had to settle for fourth. Overall, 14 drivers failed to finish the race on the lead lap, and 12 didn’t make it to the checkered flag at all. After what was undoubtedly one of the most chaotic races of the year, here’s how all 38 drivers finished the Würth 400:
