New Era for 24 Hours of Le Mans as Exclusive Merchandising Partnership Revealed

The 24 Hours of Le Mans is more than a motor race. It’s one of the world’s most extraordinary standalone sporting events, drawing hundreds of thousands of people to the Circuit de la Sarthe in a week-long celebration. Combining sport and fashion, New Era has announced an exclusive range of merchandise in partnership with the 93rd running of the iconic endurance race.

Famous for their line of eye-catching caps across the sporting world, including unique arrangements with the NFL, New Era has taken another step toward cornering a global market. The partnership with the 24 Hours of Le Mans will release a new range of caps that will be available to the general public and in the paddock at the famous motor race.

An image released by IMG Licensing, the exclusive licensing agency of the 24 Hours of Le Mans, shows New Era’s traditional sticker hats adorned with the distinctive logo of the historic endurance race, providing the iconic fit of the clothing brand with a twist that incorporates the tradition and history of one of the premier sporting events of the entire summer.

According to IMG Licensing, the collection will feature New Era’s 9FORTY, Bucket, unstructured 9TWENTY, mesh Trucker, and snapback 9SEVENTY silhouettes, available in various colors. Branding released by the company showcases the designs in red, blue, and pink, with the latter tapping into the branding of the beloved Iron Dames LMGT3 team of all-female drivers.

In addition, the collection will feature a series of adjustable 9SEVENTY caps with a predominant French theme to celebrate not only the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but the French Alpine Endurance team, who will run two cars in the 93rd running of the historic endurance race. One of those entries will be driven by Mick Schumacher, son of seven-time F1 champion, Michael Schumacher.

Although the 93rd running of the 24 Hours of Le Mans doesn’t get underway until 10 a.m. ET on June 14, fans can prepare for the event by purchasing the New Era range from May 23. The special edition caps will be available on the New Era website and from 24 Hours of Le Mans outlets.
