NASCAR Spotter Blames Dale Earnhardt Jr. for Ruining His F1 Brazilian Grand Prix Plan

Having spent 19 years in the racing world, Dale Earnhardt Jr. has been a part of some of the biggest spectacles of the Motorsports realm. From being a racer to co-owning a NASCAR team- the 50-year-old has done it all. He even co-owns a whole racing series for budding racers looking to make it big in NASCAR.

However, one thing he had never done prior to the last weekend was to visit an F1 race. Earnhardt has wanted to visit an F1 race for the longest time, and was finally able to do so in Miami.

However, it wasn’t the first time he was presented with the opportunity to do so, as a security threat ruined his earlier plans.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Reveals Why He Couldn’t Go to the Brazil Grand Prix

In 2022, Formula 1 made its debut in Miami, with fans flocking in huge numbers to pack the Hard Rock Stadium to the brim. The fever that began in COTA has since expanded to Las Vegas, with the series visiting the US three times a year in its 24-race schedule.

Despite the rapid expansion, Earnhardt was never really able to make time to go and witness the spectacle. However, there did come a time when NASCAR spotter for Brad Keselowski, TJ Majors, had everything sorted out for him and Earnhardt to go and visit the Brazil Grand Prix. But there was a hiccup.

Speaking on the latest episode of the “Dale Jr. Download,” Majors made Earnhardt admit that it was the latter’s fault that they couldn’t go to Brazil.

As Earnhardt revealed he had been to the Miami GP, Majors sarcastically replied, “That’s disappointing.” Earnhardt quickly asked, “You’re disappointed in me?”

Following Earnhardt’s question, Majors opened up om the entire backstory as he revealed they were all set to go to Sao Paulo for the Brazil Grand Prix, but Earnhardt wasn’t allowed to as the authorities thought he might get kidnapped.

“Because we were gonna go. But I was mad that you went. Remember, we were gonna go to Brazil one time. And remember they wouldn’t let you go because they were like, ‘Woah, you’d get kidnapped.'”

A laughing Earnhardt admitted to the hiccup, claiming he didn’t have “ransom insurance,” which ended up playing spoilsport to the plans.

Having finally visited an F1 race in Miami, Earnhardt was taken aback by how impressive the entire setup was. No stranger to the wild parties of Talladega Boulevard, what Earnhardt saw in Miami left him stunned.

Effectively, the F1 series is a floating circus where they build multi-storied structures housing all sorts of facilities. In Miami, they had a beach club and a swimming pool, making it look like Earnhardt was in the back of a hotel. But he wasn’t, and the massive build-outs were too impressive for Earnhardt.
