If there is one driver who is most pumped for the upcoming Mexico race, it’s Daniel Suarez. It is the first time that the NASCAR Cup Series is headed to an international venue for a points race, and they have picked Suarez’s home track for it. That makes it extra special for the Trackhouse Racing driver, who’s leaving no stone unturned to make it a memorable one.
For the next race, NASCAR is headed to the iconic Autódromo Hermanos Rodríguez track, where Suarez has raced many times. Naturally, in the upcoming race, the #99 driver will have all the spotlight, and he’s decided to make the most of it: he’s bringing a specially designed helmet to the track.
Suarez recently revealed how it looks, and judging by the fans’ reactions, it’s already a hit!

Suarez has always been proud of his Mexican culture and never shies off from flaunting it. Remember how he always carries a piñata with him in every race and smashes it as part of his victory lane celebration? Piñatas are paper mâché containers filled with candies, and it’s a Mexican tradition to smash them as a celebration after any achievement.
Now, in another tribute to his culture, the Trackhouse driver will be wearing a helmet designed by a Mexican artist, Latapi Jorge. According to him, it’s always an honor for him to represent his culture.
Sharing this in an X post, he wrote, “A very special helmet designed by the great Mexican artist and friend Latapi Jorge. This helmet represents my culture, my country, and the warrior that is within all of us. It is a huge honor for me to be Mexican and be able to represent my home country and my fellow Mexicans. Let’s have a great weekend!”
Suarez isn’t able to get over the beautiful helmet. Sharing photos of it from all possible angles in another X post, he complimented “The details 😮💨” on it.

Well, fans seem to be loving every bit of it. One fan wrote, “Thank you for the expanded details. Suarez has truly represented the Mexican culture at stock car racing’s highest stage. Whether it is becoming the first foreign-born driver to win a championship in NASCAR (2016, Xfinity Series). Or becoming the first Mexican driver to ever win a Cup Series race. Well, fans hope he wins this weekend too. One fan wrote, “Super cool @Daniel_SuarezG! Good luck this week!” Maybe the helmet would bring the luck he needs in the race.
According to one fan, Suarez should always keep this helmet in his collection. Maybe as a symbol of what he’s achieved for his community and self.
