The 2021 Cup Series champion Kyle Larson has once again been phenomenal this year, securing 152 points out of the first five races, despite the poor results at Daytona and the Circuit of The Americas. What’s more fascinating is that Larson is the only driver to bag more than one stage victory this year, setting a benchmark for the rest of the grid.
Amidst his impressive run of form, Larson made a surprising revelation ahead of the Homestead-Miami weekend, one that could see the 32-year-old join Kyle Busch in the NASCAR record books.
Ahead of the 25th race at Miami’s 1.5-mile race track, Larson revealed that he would be racing the triple crown of NASCAR this weekend – the Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series.

Before Larson’s upcoming triple-header weekend, Busch achieved a similar feat back in 2017 at Bristol Motor Speedway.
To this day, Busch remains the only driver to win NASCAR’s Cup Series, Xfinity Series, and Truck Series all during the same weekend in Bristol in 2017. Now, Larson has set his sights on this seemingly unbreakable record and will look to match it this weekend in Miami.
Larson addressed his fans ahead of the Homestead weekend, revealing his upcoming NASCAR feat. He also revealed that this achievement had been part of his bucket list, and has now finally been ticked off after all these years.
“Sure, yeah, I guess you can consider it a bucket list sort of thing. I think it’s just a really tough feat to do it, and I think Kyle Busch is maybe the only one who’s done it, and he’s done it multiple times at Bristol, so to join him in something like that would be pretty special,” he said.

“But, yeah, really, more than anything, I just love the opportunity to race. I love Homestead, and, you know, I didn’t have any other dirt races to do this weekend, so I felt like it was a perfect weekend to try and, you know, run all three and potentially win all three would be great.”
Overall, there is no arguing that Larson is more than capable of securing the triple crown at Homestead this weekend, especially considering his run of form in 2025. But, will luck play in his favor?
