Kevin Harvick Echoes Fans’ Cries Amid Kyle Busch’s Painful NASCAR Stint

The year 2025 hasn’t brought any relief for Kyle Busch fans just yet, especially after what happened last year. Busch snapped his 19-season win record. He got his lowest average finish (18.31), lowest top fives ever (5), and his lowest finish to a season since 2005 (20th).

Fans have got to feel for the man. He’s not used to staying away from victory lane for so long. After all, he is the winningest active Cup driver and winningest driver of all time in the Xfinity and the Truck Series.

Now, Everyone Wants Kyle Busch To Win

He also came close to winning twice last season. First in the Daytona race, when Harrison Burton took the win over him, and Busch ended up in P2. Then, a similar story in the very next race in Darlington, only instead of Burton, it was Chase Briscoe.

Even this season, Busch has come close. He looked like a strong contender at COTA before losing the lead and finishing 5th. Plus, at the recent Talladega race, he got a P2 start, but ended up in P28th.

What might work for Busch now is that the entire NASCAR community is looking forward to his win. Be it a Rowdy fan or not. According to Kevin Harvick, when he does finally get it, he would be welcomed with cheers this time rather than boos.

Do you remember Busch’s Joe Gibbs Racing days? He was at the height of his success and every time he took the checkered flag, the audience would boo him for defeating their favorite driver.

However, that dynamic seems to have changed since he moved to Richard Childress Racing in 2023. Maybe it’s since he is now piloting a Chevy and not a Toyota. One possible example is when he won the Truck Series race this season at Atlanta. The audience applauded rather than the usual booing.

This even took Busch by surprise.

Harvick holds the opinion that it would be the same situation if Busch wins a Cup race now.

On the recent episode of the “Happy Hour” podcast, Harvick said, “I want Kyle Busch to win so badly because I think the place is they’re going to tear the place down. When Kyle Bush went to RCR, he got more favorable support. True, he is not the most booed guy. Everybody’s rooting for Kyle Busch right now. Everybody wants Kyle Busch to win a race because he’s freaking Kyle Busch.”

Now it’s Denny Hamlin who’s taken Busch’s place as the most hated driver in NASCAR. But jokes apart, it’s been too long since anyone’s said “Kyle Fuc**** Busch.” Let’s hope to see that Rowdy magic on the track soon.
