Joey Logano had a fast car, and his eyes were locked in on another million-dollar night. But by the time the chequered flag flew at North Wilkesboro, all he had was a second-place finish—and a whole lot to say about it.
The 2025 NASCAR All-Star Race was supposed to be a back-to-back victory for the Team Penske star, who led nearly the entire night. But thanks to a new race twist and one fired-up Christopher Bell, things didn’t quite go Logano’s way. And now, fans are roasting him left and right on social media.
Joey Logano Isn’t Backing Down
Logano was cruising, and he led a whopping 139 laps. But then came the “Promoter’s Caution” on lap 217—a planned yellow flag thrown by Speedway Motorsports boss Marcus Smith just to shake things up and make things more exciting.
And as we all know, Logano wasn’t quite amused about it. “Yeah, I’m all about no gimmicks with the cautions,” he said after the race. “I’m a little … me and Marcus aren’t seeing eye-to-eye right now, okay? I gotta have a word with him.”
The yellow wiped out Logano’s comfortable lead and gave Bell the perfect chance to pounce. With about 10 laps to go, Bell muscled past him, even banging doors a few times before finally pulling away. Bell’s bold move sealed his first-ever All-Star win in the No. 20 Toyota, and Logano was left wondering what just happened.
“I was gonna show him what fair was. I just couldn’t get there,” Logano admitted in a post-race interview. “I’ll race him the same way. That’s all it is. This race is for a million dollars, I get it. But we race each other every week. We’re like elephants, we don’t forget anything.”
Fans Roast Joey Logano for Post-Race Rant
Now here’s where it gets spicy. While Logano vented about the caution and Bell’s aggressive racing, fans on X were having an absolute field day. One user wrote, “Joey is such a sore loser.” While another said, “Joey Logano complaining about another driver driving him the same way he has won multiple races is hilarious.”

Another said, “Joey Logano sounds like he wants to fight Michael Waltrip.”
Even NASCAR insider Jeff Gluck took to X to discuss this situation. He wrote, “I have to disagree with Logano that Bell did anything wrong because I sure felt like Logano ran Bell up high first. No? Didn’t he open the door to the same thing happening to him? I need to see a replay, I guess.”
Logano might’ve had the faster car, but Bell had the better luck, skill, and timing. This wasn’t a points-paying race, so Logano’s got nothing to worry about. However, in the championship standings, Bell is third with 384 points, while Logano now sits ninth with 318 points to his name.
At the end of the day, Logano is still one of the best drivers in the garage. But when it comes to handling defeat, well, NASCAR Twitter just handed him another one.
