Joe Gibbs Racing Star Drags Brock Lesnar and Conor McGregor Into Absurd Gorilla vs. Humans Debate

If you’ve been anywhere near social media lately, chances are you’ve stumbled across one of the most ridiculous (but oddly fascinating) debates of the year — would 100 unarmed men be able to take down a full-grown gorilla. Well, NASCAR driver and Joe Gibbs Racing star Chase Briscoe just jumped right into that madness, and he didn’t hold back.

And his take on this viral debate was absolutely hilarious.

‘I’ll Be the 100th Guy’ Says Chase Briscoe

Briscoe, who now drives the No. 19 car for Joe Gibbs Racing, brought his sense of humor to the party during a chat on SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. While the internet’s been going nuts over this hypothetical battle royale, Briscoe was more than happy to offer up his two cents.

His first reaction was, if the 100 fighters were just copies of him — “100 Briscoes” — they wouldn’t stand a chance. “If it’s a 100 of me, no,” he commented, making the podcast hosts laugh. But if Briscoe gets to pick his own squad, maybe then he fancies a chance at winning this odd debate. He admitted, “ Like if it’s me and 99 others, I feel pretty confident that we could probably do it.

“I’m gonna pick Brock Lesnar, Conor McGregor, Nate Diaz. I’m going to pick all the…good fighters,” Briscoe joked. “I’ll be the 100th guy that gets to take him, and if they get wiped out, then obviously I know I’m going with them. Hopefully, I can be the 100th guy and I ain’t got to do nothing.”

Briscoe pretty much plans to hang back and let the cage fighters and WWE legends take the hits. His backup plan is being the camera guy.

“I’ll be the film guy. People are going to want to get this on video. So, I’ll film it in the back. Yeah, I can just do that,” he said.

You’ve got to love the honesty.

    Internet Madness Meets Monkey Muscle

Now if you’re wondering how this even became a thing, welcome to the wonderful world of TikTok and X. This “100 men vs. one gorilla” debate has exploded online, with people passionately arguing that both sides have a decent chance of winning.

Some believe the men could overwhelm the gorilla with sheer numbers, while others say that beast would flatten them like pancakes. Even real-life experts have stepped in. Dr. Tara Stoinski, who’s spent two decades studying gorillas and the ape family, recently told NBC that 100 people could, technically, win.

Still, Briscoe’s not taking any chances. His solution is to bring in the biggest and toughest names in fighting, and quietly film from the corner while they do the heavy lifting. It’s a bold strategy, or maybe just the smartest move in the room.

As silly as the whole thing sounds, it’s kind of refreshing to see someone like Briscoe having fun with it. In a sport where drivers are usually all business, Briscoe just reminded us it’s alright to laugh a little — even if it’s about gorillas and hypothetical fight clubs.
