Most gearheads deem NASCAR drivers to be the luckiest of folks, and for good reason. Alongside contesting in high-pressure, high-adrenaline environments, they are often behind some of the finest stock cars.
Although many automotive enthusiasts tune their machines to extract the most performance out of them, they often face certain restrictions, one of which is street legality.
Immune to this, NASCAR drivers get to race in track-exclusive cars that are beasts regarding performance. While they drive stock cars on the track, each driver’s preference varies.
For instance, Jeff Gordon, one of the most accomplished NASCAR icons, recently showed off his Chevy Corvette in an X post, and it is an absolute beauty.

Gordon, a four-time NASCAR champion who won all his championships driving for the iconic Hendrick Motorsports, found himself once again at the team’s base.
While introducing his car to the camera, he addressed it as ‘my baby’. The former HMS driver was at the team’s headquarters to drop off his ZL6 for filming. LLumar Racing, which is also a sponsor of HMS, did the filming on his car.
Before handing over his keys, Gordon said, “Take good care of it.”

The video then showed some behind-the-scenes clips of the process, where the team filmed.
When his car was finally ready, Gordon, wearing an HMS jacket, walked towards his Chevy. After seeing it, he couldn’t help but say, “Check it out! I love it!”
Talking about why he needed the film on his car, he said, “I take this to the road, but I also take it to the racetrack. There’s a lot of debris, and you wanna protect it from all those rock chips.”
Gordon added that with a layer of film on his car, he felt a lot more secure driving it around. In the last shot of the video, he took off in his car, saying, “Well, I’m outta here. Thank you, LLumar!”
Other Cars in Jeff Gordon’s Collection
Apart from his $130,000 Corvette, Gordon has a handful of other fine machines in his garage. According to EssentiallySports, Gordon also owns a 1933 Ford 3-Window Coupe. The car packs a V8 engine under the hood and is one of the most prized possessions of Gordon’s garage.
Next on the list is the 1952 Oldsmobile Super 88 Convertible. The machine has an eight-cylinder engine and can produce up to 160 hp.
Though he appreciates vintage, Gordon is not entirely old-school when it comes to automobiles. He also owns the Jaguar XK8 and Chevy Corvette C7.R Edition, which are both iconic, quick machines.
Lastly, Gordon also has a bit of muscle in his car. The NASCAR legend owns the 2013 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1, which is equipped with a 6.2-liter V8 and capable of churning out 580 hp easily.
Throughout his career, he drove the No. 24 Chevrolet, starting with the Lumina, then the Monte Carlo, Monte Carlo SS, Impala SS, and in his last few years in NASCAR, he drove the Chevy SS.
Which Car Was Jeff Gordon’s Favorite to Drive?
While his affinity for cars is well documented, Gordon’s always been very candid about his love for racing as well as his need for speed. If he’s not on the race track, he’s routinely spotted turning corners in a fancy sports car, promoting new Chevy products/cars, or simply involved in motor vehicles.
But when it comes to his favorite car, Gordon has detailed one very specific model.
“I mean, the mid- to late-90s were cars that we had a lot of success with, especially in 1997, 1998, I did like those cars a lot,” Gordon answered when asked specifically about his favorite car to drive. “I’ve always liked whatever the latest technology, whatever the fastest, whatever stuck to the race track the most.”
And Gordon doubled down on a specific car in that line of latest technology.
“2014, I look back at that season, and lap times, and how well our cars were that year, that was a pretty amazing (year),” Gordon said. “Just full of commitment, you’re on the gas hard, you’re deep in the corner, you’re getting out of it and right back in it. A lot of wheel, a lot of G-force, and that was always one of my favorite cars.”
Stunning makeover? …lol…
Holy click bait Batman.
