‘Stop Crying’ – Insider Unleashes Fury on NASCAR Teams in Brutal Post-Talladega Rant

The aftermath of Talladega has ignited a fierce debate within the racing community — but not about the race itself. Instead, NASCAR insider Jeff Gluck has unleashed a scathing critique aimed at NASCAR teams, calling them out for their constant complaints about financial matters.

In a viral post-race rant that quickly spread across social media, he expressed his frustration with what he sees as endless griping about costs, the spec car, and revenue sharing in the sport.

Gluck is a NASCAR journalist who moved to The Athletic in May 2019 and also hosts “The Teardown” podcast on the Dirty Mo Media network. He didn’t hold back in his assessment of the situation.

The NASCAR Financial Battle Dividing the Community

The timing of Jeff Gluck’s outburst isn’t random. Right now, teams like 23XI Racing and Front Row Motorsports are suing NASCAR, claiming the charter system doesn’t give them a fair share of the money. They say they spend millions but can’t make it work financially under the current system.

“Man, teams, I think you are a bunch of assholes honestly… stop crying about the freaking money. Will you stop it,” Gluck blasted in a tirade that resonated with many fans tired of the off-track disputes.

What really got him going was how teams seem to want it both ways. One minute they’re complaining, “They won’t let us do anything with this car,” Gluck imitated. Then when NASCAR opens the door to innovation or special events, the teams say, “Oh my God, that would cost us a lot of money… We can’t spend the money on the All-Star race. We’re not getting paid enough for that. Why would we do that?”

“Stop talking about the freaking money. Will you stop it? … Why is everything about cost cutting? Oh my God, stop it, you hear yourselves,” he continued, clearly at his wit’s end with the situation.

While Cup Series events have seen purse increases, including an $11 million prize pool at Atlanta, lower-tier series like Xfinity and Trucks continue to face stagnant or declining payouts, further fueling discontent throughout the NASCAR ecosystem.

Many fans seem to agree with Jeff Gluck, tired of hearing about boardroom battles instead of focusing on the racing itself. His raw, unfiltered take has struck a chord with people who just want to see great racing without all the financial drama in the background.

Whether this viral moment leads to meaningful change or simply adds fuel to the fire remains to be seen, but the message was clear: “Stop crying” and let racing take center stage again.
