‘Some A***ole Tried to Sell It’ – Dale Earnhardt Jr. Reveals the Mystery Behind His Unique Souvenir From Law Enforcement

Having stepped away from the NASCAR world as a racing driver, Dale Earnhardt Jr. remained connected to the sport in various ways. Aside from being a co-owner of JR Motorsports, the 50-year-old also hosts the “Dale Jr. Podcast” to discuss all things racing.

Often, the show deviates from racing to discuss the personal lives of the co-hosts, as fans send in their questions, wondering about something particular.

On the latest episode of the podcast, one fan wanted to know what the pink sheet inside a frame in the background was, and Earnhardt revealed it was a unique law enforcement memorabilia.

Dale Earnhardt Jr. Reveals the Story Behind His Framed Speeding Ticket

Although he hasn’t raced in several years, the racer inside of Earnhardt sometimes gets the better of him, leading to a speeding violation. The same reflexes once earned him a speeding ticket and had him pay a fine. However, the fine was not the only expense related to that ticket, as Earnhardt revealed he eventually had to buy it, too.

During the “Ask Jr.” portion of the episode, one of the viewers wanted to know what the pink piece of paper in the Dirty Mo Studio was via live chat.

Earnhardt revealed that it was a speeding ticket he had once received, “And the reason why I have this here, and framed, is because some a*h** tried to sell it online.”

He continued that someone got hands on the ticket perhaps illegally and once Earnhardt came to know of its potential sale, he had no option but to buy it.

The ticket carried Earnhardt’s personal address, his tag number, his license number, and some other personal information that the retired NASCAR driver did not want leaked.

Meanwhile, the rest of the panel was more interested in knowing how fast was he going to have gotten the ticket. They started throwing their guesses in, claiming Earnhardt was probably going 130 in a 40 mph zone.

To everyone’s surprise, including Earnhardt himself, the violation wasn’t that big. On paper, he was doing 45 in a 40 mph zone, but no one was ready to believe it. The panel speculated that he was probably going a lot faster, but the person who wrote the ticket practiced leniency and let Earnhardt off easy.

The panel wanted to know how Earnhardt was able to get out of receiving a bigger speeding ticket as Earnhardt playfully brushed it off. TJ Majors quickly chimed in to say he had been riding alongside Earnhardt for a long time but never saw him get a ticket.

However, the JR Motorsports co-owner brushed aside all suggestions by saying, “I don’t do s***.”
