The Goodyear 400 was an emotional rollercoaster. When Joe Gibbs Racing’s (JGR) Denny Hamlin took the finish, NASCAR fans were shaken by Darlington’s race result. But Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s podcast “Door Bumper Clear” best caught the community’s candid reaction.

While JGR’s Hamlin recorded his second straight win, the fandom was pondering the race’s happenings. The veteran snatched the lead in the final pit stop under caution and won at Darlington in overtime, proving his No. 7 team’s worth.
A blisteringly quick pit-stop became the pivotal point in last week’s race. Although Hendrick Motorsports’ William Byron thoroughly dominated the race, leading 243 laps, Hamlin took advantage of the late caution and took the checkered flag.
But the community wasn’t fully satisfied with the result, and it was fairly reflected in Earnhardt’s “Door Bumper Clear” podcast, where even Bubba Wallace’s spotter, Freddie Kraft, took the heat. The latest post from “Dirty Mo Media” showcased the community’s displeasure.
One ardent Kyle Larson was seemingly frustrated at the No. 5 driver’s performance. He duly noted his anger, saying, “Are you f***ing kidding me? Why are you wrecking yourself? You’re the greatest f***ing in the world.”
Larson had a bleak day at the 1.3-mile track last week. Early and late contact took the 2021 NASCAR Cup Series champion down the ladder, who later retired from the race with a DNF. Larson, along with Josh Berry and veteran Cup Series driver J.J. Yeley, were at the bottom of the barrel once the result came out.
Another fan noted his feelings about the dismal ending of the race. He did not mince his words and said, “The ending of that race is worse than if I took a cheese grater to my f***ing balls.”
Even co-host Freddie Kraft took a stray bullet when a random fan vented out his frustration – “Whatever f***ing golden horseshoe that son of a b**** Denny Hamlin has shoved off his … Of course, Freddie is like, ‘He’s the greatest blah. … Get the f*** out. As much as I love Freddie, get the f*** out of here.”
He wasn’t convinced by Hamlin’s win but then took Kraft’s name to rant. While listening to the reactions, Kraft quipped, “What did he say? The backdoor’s coming in hot? Yeah, kiss my a**! That’s fine, speaking of back doors!”
Now that the schedule is moving on to Bristol Motor Speedway, will Hamlin be able to replicate the three-peat? We’ll have to wait a little longer to find out.
