Dale Earnhardt Jr. Marks Daughter Isla Rose’s Special Milestone With Touching Tribute

There might never be another driver as beloved in the NASCAR world as Dale Earnhardt Jr. Sure, a big part of that legacy comes from his legendary father, Dale Earnhardt Sr. But Junior has done plenty on his own to carry the Earnhardt name forward—whether it’s his back-to-back Xfinity Series titles, multiple Cup Series wins, or taking on the role of the “Pied Piper” of superspeedways just like his dad.

But it’s not just about what he’s done on the track. Through his Dirty Mo Media brand and podcast network, Junior has built a strong bond with fans that keeps him deeply connected to the NASCAR community. That’s why when he speaks, people listen. And naturally, one question always comes up—who will carry the Earnhardt name into the next generation?

Well, time will tell. But it might not be too far off that we see one of his daughters behind the wheel. Recently, Dale Jr. celebrated his oldest daughter’s birthday, and even he seemed surprised at how quickly time had flown.

Dale Earnhardt Jr.’s Daughter Is a Year Older

Dale Jr. and Amy Earnhardt met back in 2010. Junior had hired Amy, an interior designer, to help with his home, and over time their professional relationship grew into something more. They got married in 2016 and welcomed their first daughter, Isla Rose, in 2018.

Isla recently turned 7, and Junior took to X (formerly Twitter) to share the moment with fans. He wrote, “My oldest daughter turns 7 today. 🕺🏼.”

And here’s a fun twist—Isla’s birthday falls just a day after what would have been Dale Sr.’s birthday. Had he been alive today, the Intimidator would’ve been a proud 74-year-old grandfather. Chances are, he’d already be mapping out a racing career for Isla.

At seven years old, many kids start getting into Box Stocks or micro midgets—early steps toward a racing career. While Junior has said he’d love for his daughters to get into the sport, he’s been clear he’ll never push them.

“I also want them to know there are opportunities here if they ever decide they want to do this, too,” he once said. “You look at Lanie Buice; she is a really good racecar driver. And (my daughters) don’t have to be racecar drivers, but look at Kelley—there are a lot of jobs and opportunities (in racing) if they want it.”

His youngest daughter, Nicole, is now five.

Who knows? Maybe one day they’ll host the Dale Jr. Download podcast. One way or another, fans across the NASCAR world are hoping the next generation of Earnhardts finds a way to stay in the sport and keep the legacy alive.
