Before going head-to-head at Texas Motor Speedway in Sunday’s Cup Series showdown, 23XI Racing teammates Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick brought a playful twist to their friendly team rivalry, trading jabs in a wholesome online banter.
Paintball Action Sparks Hilarious Bubba Wallace-Tyler Reddick Exchange
What started as a lighthearted bonding exercise between Bubba Wallace and Tyler Reddick quickly turned intense both on the field and on social media. In his last outing at Talladega Superspeedway, Wallace, the Alabama native, secured a stage win over reigning, defending champion Joey Logano after leading five laps.
He then finished 10th, but after NASCAR disqualified Logano and fellow Ford speedster Ryan Preece in the post-race inspection, Wallace bettered his finish to eighth. On the other hand, Reddick finished 14th, six positions behind his teammate.

While that is the case, Wallace is still behind Reddick in the Cup rankings, trailing by seven points. But that gap didn’t let the teammates have some fun, squaring off for a lighthearted showdown at a local paintball field.
Wallace shared a post on his Instagram capturing their day in Fort Worth. Bearing paintball guns, the duo posed for pictures as Wallace captioned the two-photo thread, “Lil pre-race paintball action today.”

The 31-year-old also posted a few story posts, one of which had fans cracking up. In the clip, Wallace is seen getting off a truck, announcing with a slight grin, “Yeah, we’re at DFW Adventure Park right across the street from the track for some paintball action.”
He then followed it up with a cheeky shot at the No. 45 driver, saying, “About to shoot Tyler Reddick in the nuts.”
Reddick also tagged along, joining in on the fun, sharing a few stories of his own as he tagged Wallace. He also didn’t miss out on posting it to his profile. Posing in a safety mask and a gun in his hand, Reddick channeled his inner action hero. He captioned the post with a nod to the popular video game franchise, “Call of Duty,” using it as a base template: “Bravo 6, going dark.”

Wallace entered Texas Motor Speedway riding an 89-race winless streak, with his last win coming in 2022 at Kansas. Still, with Toyota’s strong performance on intermediate tracks and 23XI Racing’s recent momentum, both Wallace and Reddick are well-positioned to contend for the win.
