Brad Keselowski Takes Brutal Shot at Denny Hamlin’s Title Drought in New NASCAR Promo

NASCAR has once again outdone itself with the theatrics. In its latest video, NASCAR dropped a “Back to the Future” parody starring two of its most senior drivers, Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski. While the narrative was all fun and games, it led to an announcement that NASCAR fans have been waiting on for a long time.

A track known for hosting some of the most thrilling championship races is officially set to return next season. While the two drivers handled the main announcement, Keselowski took a lighthearted jab at his longtime rival, Denny Hamlin.

Kyle Busch and Brad Keselowski’s Promotional Video

The video began with a clip from the final moments of Busch’s second championship win at Homestead-Miami in 2019. That was followed by a scene of Busch arriving in a parking lot.

When he showed up, Keselowski (already there) said, “Ah, here he is! The new two-time champion.”

Busch replied that he was late for his party as he pointed to a champagne bottle. Keselowski then revealed what was coming and showed off a DMC DeLorean with a NASCAR logo on its license plate.

As Busch climbed into the car, the RFK driver said he had built the machine and it could take him anywhere — even into the future. When asked what he wanted to know from the future, Busch said, “I would like to know if the championship comes back to Homestead-Miami. The place has been pretty good for us.”

The two agreed on the subject, and Busch asked if Keselowski wanted to know anything before he made the trip. That’s when the No. 6 driver took a playful shot at Hamlin and said, “Yeah. Does Denny ever win that championship?”

Later in the video, Busch returned from the future in his RCR uniform and announced that the championship weekend would, in fact, return to Homestead-Miami in 2026.

Denny Hamlin’s Wait for His First Championship

At 44, Hamlin is the most senior driver in the NASCAR Cup Series. Still, even in his mid-40s, he gives drivers half his age a run for their money. In the current season, he holds the No. 3 spot overall and has two wins in 11 starts.

Hamlin has made the playoffs 17 times in his career and has reached the Championship 4 on four occasions. In 2010, he looked poised to win the title. Yet, despite racking up eight wins that year, he had to settle for second place — falling 39 points short of Jimmie Johnson.

In each of the last three seasons, Hamlin has reached the Round of 8 before getting knocked out. He remains the only Cup Series driver with 56 career wins and no championship trophy. With his experience and strong form this season, fans are still holding out hope that the JGR driver can finally claim the title.
