The official social media handles of F1 have recently started a new challenge. They post photos from each track, asking fans to guess the venue. The challenge ranges from ‘Extreme’ to ‘Easy’ shots, and the latest social media trend has seen a lot of engagement from F1 fans. NASCAR’s Anthony Alfredo recently decided to dish out a similar challenge.
Once a sim racer, Alfredo lived the dream of many sim racers when he became a NASCAR driver. Now that he is in the series, the 26-year-old has decided to join the age-old rivalry between F1 and NASCAR by giving the former a taste of their own medicine.
Anthony Alfredo Dishes Out a Playful Challenge to F1
With the drivers of the two forms of Motorsports often colliding against one another, playful banter isn’t always a conversational norm. However, things are much more mellow this time, with Alfredo taking a playful shot at F1’s latest social media trend.
Ahead of the Jack Link’s 500, the 26-year-old posted a photo of himself on X, with the Talladega Grand Stand behind him. He tagged the official X handle of F1 and wrote, “Hey @F1 bet you can’t tell which track I’m at based off this picture.”

While F1 is yet to comment on the post, veteran journalist Vincenzo Landino took to Alfredo’s comments section to confirm it was indeed the Talladega Speedway.
Over in the racing aspect of things, Alfredo is returning to Beard Motorsports for the race around the 2.66-mile track, marking the family-owned team’s 31st official start in the NASCAR Cup Series.
As an open charter team, Beard Motorsports has been a constant presence in the NASCAR world since making its debut in 2017. The 2025 season marks the team’s ninth season participating in a NASCAR Cup Series race, having completed 13 races apiece at Daytona and Talladega.
Alfredo is returning to the cockpit of the team’s No. 62 car for his sixth outing with Beard Motorsports. In the previous five outings, Alfredo’s best finish for Beard Motorsports came in April last year, when he drove for them in Talladega and secured P12 when the checkered flag fell.
Following his debut at the 2024 Daytona 500, Alfredo also got to drive for the open charter team in October last year when he finished P24 in Talladega.
Given the same, he hopes to improve on his previous outings and finally break into the top ten while driving for Beard Motorsports.
