Miami just got a fresh dose of energy, and it’s not from the heat. Rapper Pitbull has purchased the naming rights to Florida International University’s stadium, officially dubbing it Pitbull Stadium.
This adds a twist to the usual lineup of stadium names, typically dominated by banks, insurance companies, and other brands.
Talking to ESPN, Pitbull seemed excited about his latest venture, and he shared a bold prediction for the 2024 NFL season.
Pitbull Picks Miami Dolphins to Win Super Bowl LIX
Known as Mr. 305 (the area code for Miami, Fla.), Pitbull has a deep love for the Miami Dolphins. During his appearance on ESPN, he couldn’t resist sharing his high hopes for the Dolphins in the 2025 NFL season.
Pitbull started by congratulating Dolphins quarterback Tua Tagovailoa on his $212 million contract extension and wide receiver Tyreek Hill on his $90 million contract restructuring. The artist didn’t stop there. He predicted a Super Bowl victory for the Dolphins.
“I’m saying it right now: Miami Dolphins are going to bring it home to the 305. Super Bowl champions,” Pitbull said.

The deal includes more than just a name change. The 43-year-old will compose an FIU anthem, engage in social media activity for the school 12 times a year, and attend athletics fundraising events at least once a year.
He can also use the stadium for 10 days annually and has secured benefits like reserved suites for home games. FIU athletic director Scott Carr also revealed that Pitbull would be involved in the university’s name, image, and likeness efforts.
“This partnership with FIU is a true honor and a testament to what we can achieve when we work hard,” Pitbull said. “Renaming the stadium isn’t just about a name change. It’s about inspiring the community, creating opportunities, and showing the world that with determination and a clear vision, anything is possible. We’re making history together, and we’re just getting started. Why dream when you can live it?”
