Monday Night Football Tonight, Week 12 | Seahawks vs Eagles Game Preview
The Eagles entered Week 12 in first place in the NFC East. A Washington Football Team Thanksgiving day win changed that, and then a New York victory on Sunday put the Giants atop the division. Now the Eagles have a tough road ahead. The Seahawks are just the first game in a tough backend stretch for the Eagles.
At the time of this writing, the Eagles’ next four opponents have a combined record of 28-12. It’s made all the more complicated by a growing quarterback controversy between Carson Wentz and Jalen Hurts. Wentz is still the starter, but Hurts is going to see an increased number of snaps on Monday.
How that will affect the Eagles’ offense on Monday Night Football in Week 12 is unknown. Wentz has struggled all year, but Hurts might not be the answer either. He’s only thrown two passes and run the ball 12 times this season. He was a raw passer coming out of Oklahoma, and if not for a stellar senior year, mostly predicated on his rushing ability, he could have been a late pick or even undrafted.
On the other side of the ball, the Seahawks’ offense is a juggernaut. Russell Wilson leads one of the best units in football and has a strong case for league MVP. Even with a struggling defense, it’s hard to see the Seahawks dropping this game. The Eagles defense hasn’t shown the ability to stop an offense, especially not one of this caliber. The Rams put up 37 on the Eagles, the Steelers 38, and the Ravens 30.
This should be a blowout win for Seattle, but the final score will make the game look closer than it was.
Monday Night Football Tonight, Week 12 | Score Prediction: Seahawks win 35-24
