With the worst ERA in the Nippon Professional Baseball league, it is no surprise that Trevor Bauer has to face the consequences. The Yokohama DeNA BayStars sent Bauer, a former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, down to their minor-league team.
It’s a move that does not please the former MLB pitcher. This move was a long time coming, and Bauer should be grateful it didn’t happen sooner.

Trevor Bauer Opted to BayStars Minor League Team, Cannot Be Called Up Again Until July 9
The earliest date that Bauer could be recalled to the NPB team is July 9. There’s no telling whether it happens then or not. But that date is about two weeks away. Bauer’s ERA increased to 4.13 is the worst in the league.
Trevor Bauer has been dropped from the BayStars major-league squad. He can’t be called up again until July 9th at the earliest.
After getting lifted last night, he shouted something at pitching coach Shinji Ohhara and left the dugout. https://t.co/V3uvN3wzUb pic.twitter.com/mvCsyKryPW

Kazuya Ojima’s 3.55 is the second-worst ERA in NPB and that’s with four fewer starts. Bauer is the only NPB pitcher with 15 starts. He pitched on one week’s rest but it didn’t help at all. The BayStars seem to do everything they can to get Bauer back on track, but he continues to be his own worst enemy.
Bauer only lasted 5 1/3 innings, giving up five runs on seven hits. He walked six batters in 104 pitches. Bauer finished with five strikeouts and he does have the fourth-most in the NPB. But that doesn’t help him overall.
Bauer has the fourth most strikeouts in the NPB. He’s thrown five more innings than Tatsuya Imai, who has 110 strikeouts compared to Bauer’s 93. With six walks in his most recent start, Bauer leads the league in walks surrendered with 34. He’s one of two pitchers with 30-plus walks this season.
Bauer has also given up the most hits in the league with 99. Masato Morishita’s 88 is the next closest, which comes along with his 14 starts and 101 innings thrown. Bauer has given up 15 more than Kohei Arihara and Hiroto Takahashi, who sit in second place.
Bauer, Morishita and Takahashi all have seven losses, which is the worst in the NPB.
Now in the minor leagues, Bauer will have his work cut out for him if he ever wants to return to the NPB. Clearly, his numbers are far worse than all of the other starting pitchers, but it’s not like MLB fans want or expect Bauer to be back in MLB in his career.
There’s two POS here, and their names are Trevor and Ryan.
This is horribly written with extreme bias. Get off your high horse you pos
