‘I Know You Wanna Bite’ — Paul Skenes’ Girlfriend Olivia Dunne Reels in Laughs With Hilarious Fishing Antics

While Pittsburgh Pirates pitcher Paul Skenes has been making headlines on the field, his girlfriend Olivia Dunne shines off the field on social media following her retirement from competitive gymnastics. Dunne was the talk of the town recently because of her appearance at the 151st Kentucky Derby. It was her first time attending the event, and she absolutely crushed it with her customary all-pink outfit.

One day before the Derby, the LSU graduate student led the Kentucky Oaks’ “Riders Up” order. After the fun-filled weekend, Dunne is on a beach vacation, according to her social media.

When LSU gymnast and social media star Dunne uploaded a video to TikTok, followers were likely anticipating a lighthearted look into her interests during the season. What they received instead was her posing on a Florida beach, holding a fishing rod.

In this funny video of only a few seconds, Dunne is having a great time learning how to use a fishing rod in a completely different way. She even uses her legs at one point. She gives it everything she has before finally giving up and walking away.

Numerous instances on her social media conflate the roles of digital creative and professional athlete. Beyond her business partnerships and gymnastics, Dunne seems to enjoy every moment, and her followers get a glimpse into her life. Her fans are continuously watching as she joyfully shares her life.

Following the conclusion of her gymnastics career at LSU, Dunne is embarking on new endeavors, including high-profile brand partnerships and chances in fashion and lifestyle.

By starting a project focused on NIL (name, image, and likeness), she is also using her platform to give back by assisting collegiate athletes in navigating sponsorships, visibility, and personal development off the field.

Her goal was to “create more opportunities for LSU female-student athletes, while emphasizing the importance of bringing NIL funds to women in college sports.” She started “The Livvy Fund” in July 2023 in collaboration with LSU’s official NIL collective.

Dunne expressed her desire to share her relationships and the lessons she has learned with others in a statement announcing the launch. Through the fund, the Accelerator energy drink firm, which had previously signed a contract with Dunne, negotiated NIL arrangements with eight other LSU gymnasts in October 2023.

Dunne bid adieu to gymnastics this year. She was unable to participate in the competition due to injury and posted a message on X after the LSU Tigers finished third in the NCAA semifinals on Thursday, April 17.

“It was the best five years I could have asked for!”
