White Sox’s NBA-Inspired City Connect Jerseys Sparks Troll Fest Among MLB Fans

The Chicago White Sox are not a team that will be talked about much this season, mainly because they are one of the worst teams in baseball. They are not at the forefront of baseball discussions, and their lack of attendance this season confirms this.

But the White Sox are looking for ways to become relevant again, and they’re doing that with their City Connect jerseys. The White Sox went away from their standard black and white uniforms to reveal uniforms inspired by the Chicago Bulls. However, many fans have differing opinions on the new attire.

Chicago White Sox To Wear Bulls-Inspired Uniforms

As shared by FOX Sports: MLB, the White Sox are showing off their new Bulls-inspired uniforms, which are unique. The logo is a white sock with red wings, and it does a good job of encapsulating both teams.

However, not every fan agrees that the new uniforms are well-made — and a portion of the fan base is not thrilled with the change.

    “TerriBULL,” said one fan.

One issue that some fans may encounter is the lack of talent on the White Sox, which makes it challenging to buy a jersey for any of these players. Having some exciting players is what makes fans want to come out to the ballpark and buy apparel.

“These are pretty cool but there’s no jersey worth getting,” said one fan.

After all, the White Sox have been one of the worst teams in baseball for the last two seasons. They were 61-101 in 2023 and 41-121 last season. It is rare for a team to be that bad, but the White Sox seem to get rid of their good players and struggle to develop MLB contributors.

This offseason, they traded away starting pitcher Garrett Crochet, who is a Cy Young candidate. Also, their current roster lacks many assets to trade away. The best player on their team is Luis Robert Jr., who is struggling to begin the season. He is batting .152 with three home runs and eight RBIs on the season. But, he does run the bases well with 10 stolen bases already on the season.

It seems likely the White Sox will look to trade Robert this season. He could be a sought-after commodity if he could raise his batting average. Many teams are looking for outfield help and would be willing to part with a few prospects to land Robert. The White Sox have a long way to go to get back into playoff contention, but they have to start somewhere.
