Tucker’s impact on the Cubs is undeniable. Batting .278 with 12 home runs, 67 hits, and 40 RBIs, he had anchored the offensive line for the team. MLB Network’s Ken Rosenthal emphasized his value, saying, “Kyle Tucker has been transformative for this team… There’s an aura to this guy. He is one of the top players in the game.”

Before Tucker’s arrival, the Cubs limped to a third-place finish in 2023 at 83-79, missing the playoffs. Now, with Tucker alongside emerging MVP candidate Pete Crow-Armstrong and veterans like Ian Happ and Cody Bellinger, the Cubs are a postseason contender.
Rosenthal noted that without Tucker, “the Cubs weren’t what they are now.” His presence has elevated a roster that was previously short on star power, making his potential departure extremely damaging to the team’s overall performance as well as morale.
