‘You Missed Aaron Judge’ – Justin Verlander’s Brother’s Bold Shohei Ohtani Claim Divides Baseball World

A lot of MLB fans love to debate whether Los Angeles Dodgers outfielder Shohei Ohtani or New York Yankees outfielder Aaron Judge is the best player in baseball. Many will think that Ohtani is the best player in MLB, and some will think that Judge is the best.

Stats have shown so far during the 2025 MLB season that Judge has been by far a better player than Ohtani has been. Despite the numbers not favoring Ohtani over Judge during the 2025 MLB season, one MLB analyst thinks that the Dodgers’ superstar player is better than the Yankees’ outfielder. Some MLB fans had an issue with an MLB analyst’s statement about the two players.

MLB Fans Erupt Over Analyst’s Statement About Shohei Ohtani Being Better Than Aaron Judge

Ben Verlander posted on his Twitter page about his latest “Flippin’ Bats” podcast. Well, some of the things he said on his Twitter were as follows: “Shohei Ohtani is the greatest athlete I have ever seen. As we sit, he’s hitting over .300 with an OPS over 1.000 and 10 stolen bases. Fourth MVP incoming? He also mimicked Gurriel Jr after a MASSIVE HR Friday. What a week it has been.”

A lot of MLB fans were not happy about what Verlander said about Ohtani being the best athlete he has ever seen. One fan said, “Have you missed Aaron Judge? He is better than Ohtani in every category at the moment.” Judge, in 41 games with the Yankees so far in the 2025 MLB season, has a .414 batting average with 14 home runs and 40 RBI, along with three stolen bases and two caught stolen base attempts. His on-base percentage is .500.

Another fan agreed about how Judge has been better than Ohtani in 2025 and said, “Aaron Judge is hitting .414 with a 1.283 OPS while tied for leading the league in homers.” Judge is leading the league in a lot of categories. As for Ohtani, he has played in 39 games for the Dodgers so far in the 2025 MLB season.

Ohtani has a .308 batting average with 12 home runs and 21 RBI, along with 10 stolen bases and three caught stolen base attempts. His on-base percentage is .410. Ohtani’s numbers are very good, but Judge’s numbers are astronomically better for the 2025 MLB season.

Another fan also said, “This shocks and saddens me considering I pitched against you, Ben. It’s okay if you can’t admit that I was the best athlete you’ve ever seen, we all know the truth.” A lot of MLB fans decided to troll Verlander about having Ohtani as a better player than Judge.

Another MLB fan called out Verlander and said, “So, you don’t know Aaron Judge or u started to see sports since Ohtani debut and don’t see another game from other team.” It is not a surprise that a fan called out Verlander and accused him of only watching the Dodgers and Ohtani in MLB rather than seeing more of the Yankees and Judge. The numbers show that Judge is a better player than Ohtani in 2025, and MLB fans are also right.
