Houston Astros superstar Jose Altuve has been happily married to his longtime girlfriend Nina for several years now. The duo, hailing from Maracay, Venezuela, met each other for the first time during their teenage years and tied the knot in 2007.
The couple moved to America as the Astros had signed Altuve as an international free agent in 2007, and he subsequently made his MLB debut with them in 2011. José and Nina Altuve are proud parents of two girls whom they welcomed in 2016 and 2020. Together, the happy family of four has resided in Pearland, TX, since Altuve began playing with the Astros 15 years ago.
Altuve loves to spend time with his family during off days from the busy MLB schedule, but when he is busy sweating it out on the diamond, Nina takes care of their girls, and the trio is also often spotted inside Diakin Park cheering on José during Astros home game days. On Friday, Altuve’s wife and both their girls shared an adorable moment together.
Jose Altuve’s Wife Walks the Ramp With Her Daughters
Altuve’s wife, Nina, shared a delightful story on Instagram that captured her doing a ramp walk alongside her daughters. While she wore a beautiful white dress, both her girls wore matching blue outfits for the event.
Prior to the event, Altuve’s wife had shared a couple of images on her story that captured the behind-the-scenes moments of preparation for the ramp walk event. One of those images showcased the white dress that Nina wore for the ramp walk event on Friday.
She has been the biggest supporter of Altuve’s endeavors on and off the field. Nina has been by his side throughout his major league journey, and the couple has together faced all the ups and downs in life. She was the first one on both occasions, in 2017 and 2022, when José won the World Series with the Astros.
The nine-time All-Star has been the face of the organization since his MLB debut in 2011. His faithful service to the Astros for over 14 years was rewarded with a five-year, $125 million contract extension ahead of the 2024 MLB season, which will see him stay put in Houston for the remainder of his big league career.
Altuve is having a decent season with the Astros in 2025. He has a .259 batting average, with four home runs, 14 RBIs, and a .678 OPS in 36 games played so far this campaign. Altuve is projected to hit almost 20 home runs and register more than 60 RBIs this season.
The Astros currently hold the third spot in the AL West division with a 19-18 overall record and sit just three games behind division leaders, the Seattle Mariners. The Stros are currently playing a three-game series against the Cincinnati Reds at home in Daiking Park and took the series opener by a scoreline of 3-0 on Friday night.
