Jazz Chisholm Jr. Shares Heartwarming Clubhouse Ritual Yankees Do for Him After Each Big Game

While baseball is clearly where Jazz Chisholm Jr. shines, his career as a rapper and producer is also quite successful. It’s not like the New York Yankees infielder is a well-known recording artist, but the clubhouse sure makes him feel like one. Having played in just over 50 games this season, Chisholm Jr. spoke about the team’s dedication to his music.

Jazz Chisholm Jr. Says the New York Yankees Play His Songs After His Best Games

Currently hitting .242/.336/.495, Chisholm has had better seasons, but he’s just getting started here in 2025. The Yankees recently increased their division lead to 1.5 games on a day when the Tampa Bay Rays had a chance to take over first place.

Regardless, the Yankees were able to salvage a series against the Athletics and have now won three of their last four.

“They play all my songs after the game when I’m the MVP,” Chisholm said. Even though Aaron Judge homered twice in the team’s most recent 12-5 win, Chisholm Jr. had a home run of his own. He finished the series finale going 2-4 with a home run and four RBIs. He added a walk and a run in that game as the Yankees rebounded from a disastrous 7-0 loss.

Knowing that the locker room fully supports the 27-year-old is more than enough to get him back on track. After missing a large chunk of the season due to an oblique injury, Chisholm Jr. has returned to form this month. His April average was just .151, but after missing all of May, his average sits at .318 since returning on June 3.

The Yankees have undoubtedly been leaning on him more since he’s proven that he’s back to 100%, or as close as he’ll get. With the clubhouse behind him, Chisholm Jr. has increased the vibes in the locker room after New York hit rock bottom just a few weeks ago. The Yankees have been able to rebound from a six-game losing streak to stay atop the AL East.

The break comes at an inopportune time for Chisholm Jr. who’s playing some of the best baseball of his career. The next time Chisholm Jr. puts on the Yankees uniform, it’ll be his 100th game in New York. After beginning his career in Miami, the former Marlins star was traded on July 27, 2024. He’ll play in Miami just a few days after that anniversary as New York will play a three-game set against his former team in August.
