2023 AL Cy Young Award-winning ace Gerrit Cole has been happily married to his longtime girlfriend, Amy Crawford, since November 2016. The duo had crossed paths with each other for the first time on the campus grounds at UCLA, where they both were a part of the Bruins sporting team.
While Cole played baseball with the Bruins, his wife was a member of the softball team that also won the 2010 Women’s College World Series. Post-graduation, the couple continued dating for more than five years before exchanging wedding vows in a beautiful ceremony held at the Ritz-Carlton in Santa Barbara, California, on November 12, 2016.
While Amy is a huge supporter of Cole’s endeavors on the field, the couple also does an ample amount of charity work off the field via the Gerrit and Amy Cole Foundation. This foundation was established by the couple in 2020 with the sole mission of improving the standard of living for children across the country by providing equal opportunities for growth and education while promoting sound health.

Gerrit Cole and Amy Visit a High School in the Bronx as a Part of Their Foundational Drive
Cole and his wife visited the Laboratory School of Finance and Technology, which is a high school in the South Bronx, New York. The school got affiliated with the Gerrit and Amy Cole Foundation in 2021, and since then, the charitable drives of the foundation have pumped in a decent amount of funds for the development of school facilities and to provide better and more diverse education to the students.
The foundation’s official Instagram page shared a video reel from Cole and his wife’s visit, where they met with teachers and students of the school. The caption on the post read, “Amy and I had the chance to visit @mshs223b – the Laboratory School of Finance and Technology. We met incredible students who inspired us with their energy, curiosity, and drive. Can’t wait to see all they’ll accomplish.”

Cole’s teammate at the New York Yankees, Carlos Rodon’s wife, Ashley, was quick to notice the video reel and shared her heartfelt reaction to it. Her comment read, “Love this so much!”

Cole had been sidelined for the entirety of the 2025 MLB season even before the opening day, since he announced that he was required by a team of doctors to undergo the Tommy John procedure to mend his injury on the pitching elbow.
Cole’s absence in the starting rotation has been aptly filled by Rodon and Max Fried this season. Rodon is dead set on producing his best career numbers this campaign. The southpaw is 8-4 for the season, with a 2.87 ERA, 103 strikeouts, and a 0.94 WHIP on his way to earning a third All-Star nod of his MLB career.
