Bobby Jenks, forever linked to the Chicago White Sox’s 2005 World Series success, is now in a fight beyond the mound. At 43, he’s battling Stage 4 stomach cancer and attempting to start over after a wildfire destroyed all his possessions.
But Jenks is not in this fight alone. Fans, former teammates, and PastPros are uniting to support him.

Jenks is facing Stage 4 adenocarcinoma, a serious form of stomach cancer that has spread to his bones, lower back, and hips. He is receiving treatment in Portugal, where he moved with his family to be near his wife’s relatives during this difficult time.
This is incredibly heartbreaking.

On top of his health challenges, Jenks lost his home in Pacific Palisades to the California wildfires, which destroyed nearly all of his personal belongings and baseball memorabilia.
To help cover rising medical costs, Jenks and his wife have teamed up with PastPros for a live autograph signing event. The goal is to raise funds for his treatment and recovery.
The event has received backing from former teammates and coaches, with more expected to join soon. A signing event featuring Darren Dreifort is already scheduled, with all proceeds benefiting the Jenks family.
Fans who want to contribute can send in items like baseball cards, photos, and jerseys for Jenks to sign.
Jenks, hopeful for the best, said, “Now it’s time to do what I got to do to get myself better and get myself more time, however you want to look at it.”
“I’ll tell you one thing, I’m not going to die here in Portugal,” he added.
Fans and the broader baseball community have rallied behind Jenks.
“Let’s dedicate something to Bobby this season, like a number 45 patch on our jerseys or something like that,” one fan said on X.
Another fan shared, “When I was a kid, we constantly sat by the home bullpen. I believe they had Boone Logan warming up, and a pitch tipped off the catcher’s glove and rolled right to me. Coach said I could get it signed by anyone, and I chose Bobby. You’re a class act, Bobby. Heal up soon.”
Jenks is married to Eleni Tzitzivacos, who is not only a talented actor and model but also a successful entrepreneur. She earned a bachelor’s degree in financial accounting and studied counseling psychology at UCLA.
Tzitzivacos launched Moosa Jewels, a brand known for its luxury jewelry, and co-founded Portugal Khomes, a real estate agency in Portugal. She and Jenks are raising two children, who are 11 and five years old.
Bobby! Treasure your family. They will be your legacy. Prayers! Keep the Faith!
